Anyone else think it would be cool to go with the all white uni's with orange numbers and the old 1960's helmet with the number on it? With a more updated face mask of course...

**EDIT** Not for a full season, just a game or two...

I think that could be cool for a homecoming game one time...definatley not full time though I love our helment as is.

Yea guess I coulda made myself more clear, I didnt mean for year round and do away with the power T helmets.

Maybe for a game or so, but I really like our helmet the way it is. Of course I also prefer the white pants as opposed to the orange, so...

One would think it would have to be Adidas vs. Adidas school, since they would fund it. How willing is a Nike going to work with Adidas to facilitate it?

Cool for one game, I wouldn't mind throwing back to the grey facemasks with the Power T on the side one game.

no, but the full uniforms are. Hes not just asking about Helmets, which everyone thinks he is. Hes asking about a throwback game with old unis. I personally think it would be a cool, would love seeing a game between UT and FL or GA in old school unis.

i like the idea of it for a rare "throw back." no more than once a year. maybe even only once every other year.

It would be very cool to wear an old school uniform/helmet combination once in a while just like the black unis.

Just can't make a habit out of it. :good!:

Did that helmet go with the pumpkin uniforms? they were back luck but I would like to see them for homecoming or something

Wouldn't mind seeing the helmet used in part of the '73 season as part of a throwback game uniform (Thinner power T and double stripes).

Very cool link. Thanks!! I had forgotten that we did the orange-white-orange stripe (even if only for a short time) back in the day. I always thought that one of Johnny Majors' greatest contributions to Tennessee football was his redesign of the unis. The power T is absolutely perfect.
