Anyone else here ever called the Nintendo Power Hotline for tips back in the day?

I did one time. I called about Link's Awakening on the Game Boy. I couldn't figure out a way to get past a certain point in one of the dungeons. The guy actually helped me figure it out without actually telling me.

I also forgot to ask my parents, but I think it was just about $1 charge.

I was all about some Ultima Online back in high school; the first MMO was truly a "wild west" experience.

That was back in the 56k modem days - we only had one phone line for awhile and my folks hated me =D

Ultima Online was ground breaking, but wasn't the first MMO.

Meridian 59, and the realm came out a few years before Ultima Online. I never played the realm, but I loved Meridian 59
