Stoops is a helluva coach. I loved what he said prior to playing Bama and then went out and his team backed him up. Mark Richt comparison makes no sense and Richt is a good coach as well.

There are no guarantees. If CBJ is not contending by next year then yes he has failed. SEC Champ is a tough nut to crack. Being consistently in the hunt is the benchmark.

Great recruiting gets you into the Top 25. Great coaching gets you 5-10 spots higher than recruiting alone would deliver. Have to have both if you're going to be competitive for SEC and national championships.

It really hurt Texas when A&M joined the SEC. Texas would have been wise to have done it first or joined with them.

Too greedy. Own network and they run the Big 12. They wouldn't be able to do that in the SEC. What kills me, though, is that their greed and arrogance split up the Big 12, and will probably do so again in the next few years.

That's laughable. Finenbaum is an SEC troglodyte who gets paid to be the dancing court jester clown for the SEC. He's had a burr in his ass since Bob talked smack on his beloved conference because it's his gig. Paul will be there in the stands forever after the lights go off still waiting for OU to decline and the day will never come. I can't believe anybody takes that clown seriously. He's a joke.

As for ATM, kids aren't going to continue to go there only to go 8-5 every year. Their recruiting has already tapered off from what it was the last two seasons.

Texas A&M has had top 10 recruiting classes the last 2 years. Idk what your talking about. Oklahoma has been ranked 14th and 15th the last 2 years.

Go look at their recruiting class THIS year. They're running even with Baylor and TCU right now. That fake "swag" of theirs is rubbing off due to lack of results. If you think ATM is going to sustain their SEC novelty without results you're nuts. If you think ATM is the premier program in Texas, you're nuts. ATM is the 3rd best team in their own state, even with that patch on their shoulder. Recruits see that.

Their recruiting class this year is going to be smaller than the last two. Just basic math, not A&M falling off.

The more depth you have the less scholarships that are available. Us Tennessee fans are going to find that out soon.

Clearly there is a finite number of scholarships available for each school. Two big recruiting classes means a smaller class year three.

Clearly, clearly is a word you need to define more...well, CLEARLY before you slap it out there indiscriminately.

It's telling that the first thing Finebaum said was that Strikers biggest problem was that his coach wouldn't stop running his mouth. Stoops has been around too long to be providing bulletin board material for opponents. That's kiffin level JV stuff right there. Not classy.

Paul finebaum is no different from media blowhards on national cable news.

He doesn't truly believe all the junk he says.....but the ppl who watch him do, so he keeps saying it and the paychecks get bigger.
