OK, before this argument goes any further I need to clarify my original comments about having a Communications degree. First of all, I was NOT trying to criticize or minimize Marques (or anyone else for that matter) for earning a Communications degree! There is nothing wrong with having a degree in Communications. My own sister earned her degree in Communications with a minor in English and she is doing quite well for herself.
What I was trying to say was that a Communications major can be earned at pretty much any university. It's not like it's a highly specialized, narrow field of study that only a handful of universities provide. That's where I was going with my comments. I was not trying to devalue a Communications degree. The reason I said what I said was because Marques could have earned a Communications degree virtually anywhere. If he really wanted to be a starter, earning a Communications degree shouldn't have been something to keep him from transferring.
