Sooner here. Some have implied that only 3.2 beer is available unless you buy it in liquor stores. Partially true, but all bars/restaurants serve the good stuff. My son owns Roughtail Brewery and it's sold in Louie's, Pub W, McNellie's and Scratch in Norman. Up to 14% beer can be found in bars. I think Roughtail is about 8%. (Shameless plug)
Tailgating? Buy it from liquor stores and ice it down.
Welcome to Norman and hope y'all have a good time.
Boomer!
Not that it's a big deal but the whole weaker beer thing is overblown unless you are talking about craft beer or non American Light Beer. I'm gonna take a wild guess that most people tailgating Saturday will be partaking in Coors Light/BudLight/Millerlite etc... Oklahoma measures their alcohol in beer by weight while most other states measure theirs by volume. So ABW to ABV conversion shows you that a beer that is 4.2 ABV(Bud Light, Coors Light in most states) is 4.0 ABV in Oklahoma. The 3.2 is ABW which is commonly mistaken as ABV. So actually if you drink 20 Coors/Bud Lights in Texas, you would have to drink 21 in Oklahoma to get the same alcohol. Now this changes drastically for higher alcohol beers like crafts, IPAs, Imports etc... but you would probably go to a bar to drink those anyway.

Thanks for the info on Roughtail. Louie's and McNellie's were recommended to me by a friend that went to OU. I will definitely try a couple of those on Saturday.
