Oklahoma State message boards! What their fans are saying right now!

Actually, in fairness, Gundy and Okie State beat Richt and GA handily in Stillwater.

You are supporting my point. UGA has more resources, recruiting, facilities, etc.. Richt had much less of an excuse than Gundy. OkSU is not expected to win championships hence he is not their Richt

He better change his opinion lest he end up cellmates with Jimmy. SIAP, but they got Jimmy on wiretap recordings heard in Federal court today in Chattanooga discussing at a sales/training session how they implement the rebate scam. Maybe the feds are going to do the favor for us and cut out the cancer.

That thought excites me more than than hiring Gruden...

While Pickens' fortune has waned to "just" $500M, his life time gifts to OSU are estimated to be over $1B including $70M to improve the stadium. That's a multiple of Haslam's contributions and might be indicative of OSU's ability to match UT's compensation package. OSU also some other wealthy oil alums who might want to see Gundy hang around.

It’s possible, but this could also be a Georgia/Richt situation. The big money may be tired of flirting with championships but never winning them.

I'm beginning to believe Peyton gets his opinion from Haslam...

Word is Haslam wants him as his GM in Cleveland so maybe he didn’t want to go against his potential boss and screw up that opportunity and that’s why he was supportive of GS, if in fact that was the case.

Personally, I’d love to bring Tee Martin home. As HC would be fine. He would grow into the job fast. Plus, he is a Volunteer and I’m tired of the Dooleys, Kiffins, Joneses, and (absolutely) the Schianos of the world.

But in an ideal world he returns as OC and coach-in-waiting under a solid, experienced HC like Gundy. Tee is family. After the Currie debacle of this weekend, having a Volunteer - a REAL one - at the helm would make me feel better.

Quite a few of them sound like they view him as a Richt situation. Always bowling but never a champion.
You mean ACC coach of the year Mark Richt? The guy one game away from the playoffs? The guy that got fired by UGA and just went and turned around Miami? FYI last time Miami won 10 games was 2003. They joined the ACC in 2004 and this is the first ime that have played for the Champoinship ever.

Miami coach Mark Richt was voted ACC Coach of the Year on Tuesday after leading the Hurricanes to a 10-1 regular season record and their first ACC championship game appearance. Richt picked up 41 votes. Clemson's Dabo Swinney was second with 10 votes.--from espn

If that's the Mark Richt you're talking about being compared to him is quite high praise. In 17 years he has averaged 10 wins a year and has only won less than 8 once. He has never NOT been to a bowl.
