I don't know....neither was Dabo (so they said at the time) and look at him now....he wasn't even an OC

Dabo had atleast been an assistant for 15 years in college before he got the job. Tee hasn't been an assistant for even 7 years yet. Tee hasn't been doing it long enough to have a clue on how to handle and run the daily in and out's of being a HC at an elite football school. We don't need a learn on the job type coach right now.

Assuming Peyton Manning actually said this and it's not a rumor, what the hell does a man who never coached a day of college football in his life know about the readiness of a man who's been doing it for 15 years? I care infinitely more about what Clay Helton said than anything Peyton allegedly may have said.

Peyton Manning knows a lot about playing quarterback. He's not qualified to evaluate the readiness of anyone to be a head coach at a major college football program.

And he's double not qualified if he actually signed off on Schiano.

you saw what happened to the colts when he left. Guy ran the offense on the field, was a the team leader as well. He understands offense and defensive schemes. You really believe the best QB in the history of the game doesn't know what it takes to be a great HC? i have a hard time believing that.

What tells you he is? When Peyton Manning wouldn't endorse him as our next HC that should tell you all you need to know.

When Peyton Manning will endorse Greg Schiano as our next HC, that should tell that maybe you shouldn't listen to anything Peyton Manning says when it comes to this subject.

He thought Butch was the right guy here and, according to some, thought Schiano was worthy as well.

Tee would have probably the best and biggest coaching staff in our history.

I know its Clay Travis, but he just said that Kevin Steele would likely come as DC on a big contract.

Tee would definitely put a big jolt of energy into the program.

I think we get Jay Graham back as well with Tee. Maybe Jason Witten as a TE coach at some point in the future. A star-studded staff is certainly one of the bigger selling points for Tee Martin IMO.

No need. Our crappy AD won't "double his salary". If they were going to pay that kind of money, they would have made a legitimate run at Gruden.

Gruden WILL NOT work for Haslam. Ever... Haslam will never give Gruden the control he wants/needs...

I'm debating on whether to listen to him about insurance and pizza now too.

I'm beginning to believe Peyton gets his opinion from Haslam...

He better change his opinion lest he end up cellmates with Jimmy. SIAP, but they got Jimmy on wiretap recordings heard in Federal court today in Chattanooga discussing at a sales/training session how they implement the rebate scam. Maybe the feds are going to do the favor for us and cut out the cancer.

Those people just don't have a passion for football. They are so blah you would think they were losing a Cub Scout pack leader or something.
