I get attacked for it because I'm the "enemy" this week and a typically confident Oklahoma fan. I'm fine with that because it's to be expected. But I always do my best to back up my words with facts, stats, or something that reinforces that particular opinion. Some people don't want to hear the truth, and that's not my problem either.

I'm assuming that the fire you speak of and the potential consequences of said fire are in reference to the game, and not some personal threat. My words on this message board won't mean diddly on the field when that whistle blows. Same for the words Stoops said, or Striker, or the ones attributed to Brown Jr. that he didn't even say. I don't make a habit of trolling other team's forums, so maybe you should feel honored that I and so many other Sooner fans were concerned enough about this game to want to discuss it with your group. It's a sign of respect for the current status of your program. I didn't come here last year, because I knew we were going to win. This year it could go either way. But if I haven't been banned for some reason by Sunday, I'll surely be here to congratulate you, win or lose, and wish you luck the remainder of the season. You might be surprised to know that I'm a humble winner as well as a gracious loser. Have a good evening.

Very good and heartfelt post. The truth about trash talking though is it's nothing personal. You should see how the SEC trashes each othe on FB SEC Rivals page. It's nasty but to us in the south; we love to trash talk while always having respect for our rivals and not admitting it. All SEC fans know talking smack before game day makes it what it is. For us to be trashing OU...wear that as a badge of honor and respect. We didn't have much to say about BG for a reason. I hope that makes sense. If we don't trash you, we don't feel you are a legitimate threat. Unless you're Vandy. We trash them just because they are Vandy

The truth is that few here harbor any "family feelings" for other SEC football teams. I generally pull for OOC opponents of UT after they've played. I "pull" for other SEC teams mostly based on how the outcomes of their games can help UT.

I haven't take a "poll" but I imagine most fans here are the same and virtually all of those over 30.

Jesus, its seems we have been able to collect all of our retarded fans on 1 message board. No wonder our boards have been so quiet tonight, I didn't realize we had this many fans still playing on that side of the sandbox. Makes for some funny ass reading though. What i do know is this game is going to be a dog fight and a helluva lot of fun to watch.

It was a lot better a day or two ago. Now the idiots are outnumbering the rational. And yes, I'm talking about the OU 'fans' on here. This is a Vol board. Be nice or leave.

Thanks. I don't take any of it personally unless it's made personal. I've been waiting 8 months for some good trash talk. But apparently I've struck a few nerves over here. Trash talking Vandy is just low though. They're called poor old Vandy for a reason. Lol.

And yes I get laid regularly still in my thirties and my sweet spot seems to the 23-28 age range. Though I definitely go my same age and older.

Like I said I am all good with some friendly banter and good discussion regarding football from opposing fan base posters but the undesirables need to get the hell out. I could care less about someone's sex life. Be respectful and other will respond in kind. We have lots of regular poster from other fan bases and they are respected and to tell you the truth I like some of them better than other VN posters.

Back to the topic at hand, Eric Striker is taking sh*t about Hurd now. Striker sucks and will have the wonderful opportunity to be emasculated on national TV.

I would interpret the record a little differently. I would say that Oklahoma has been the bridesmaid of the BCS era, getting to the big dance frequently, but usually losing. Then winning on the same stage later, when it is no longer relevant (no longer the host of the NC).

Not to sell OU's accomplishments short. You certainly did better in most of the BCS period than Tennessee, as we struggled through our Dark Ages. If the bottom line is national championships, we both came out of that era with 1. But you enjoyed the rest of the ride far more than we did, I think.

So, "often the bridesmaid, rarely the bride." That might be a more accurate summary of the 1998-2013 BCS era for Oklahoma.

I'm hoping for a Sooner letdown on the order of what happened with David Amerson back in 2012.

But I was at the game last year and remember wondering how Striker managed to be in on what seemed like every play. It seemed like he was everywhere.

He's good and needs to be neutralized as much as possible.

That's fair. It was a fun, and sometimes painful ride. The USC game was awful, but notice we haven't gone back and claimed that title. Something tells me Bama is trying to figure out a way. On the other hand, I bet about 110 other programs would be happy to trade accomplishments with us during that time, including UT. BCS bowls bring in a lot of money.

If you're still around win or lose after the game and be cool some of these guys will come around. We have quite a few regulars from other schools that post here. A few of them bring some good recruiting info.
