Up front is our biggest need IMO.Talent upfront on the line will help, along with several wideouts emerging.. Not to mention improved quarterback play. The starting rb doesn't return. The best tight end from last year returns, but is coming off injury. That's damn near a complete overhaul. Hope those guys are ready.
I think you could make the case the last two years that we have not gone as fast as JH wants…w QBs who are limited in their ability to efficiently execute the desired pace.the offense isn't a problem in itself... its actually the perfect college football offense.
The issue is that it just can get very very stagnant.. especially when we run the hurry up/ up tempo and don't get any yards. We have had 3 and outs that last 1 min.. that's the issue
I think you're 100% spot on. As it's been said on here before, the only time I felt like I was watching "Heup's offense" last season was when Gas Pipe went in for an injured Nico during the Miss. State game.I think you could make the case the last two years that we have not gone as fast as JH wants…w QBs who are limited in their ability to efficiently execute the desired pace.
This is Josh Heupel's offense. I don't get any sort of narrative that the change from Golesh to Halzle has had any sort of negative impact on the offense. I might buy that if it weren't still Josh Heupel's offense. Now, has it evolved? Yes. Do they change things based on their talent? Yes, and you want that. But as far as there being some dropoff just due to that move, I don't buy it. Heupel has had success everywhere.I sometimes wonder if Halzle gets a little bit of a bum rap for something not entirely his fault, and Golesh gets more credit than he's due. Nobody saw Golesh's offense without Hooker at the helm. QB and WR play for Halzle hasn't been anything near what Golesh got.
They said that if Satterwhite doesn’t work out that Pendleton would move from guard to center and we would find another guard. But they really want Satterwhite to improve his snaps out of the shotgun. That's what concerns me the most...the center makes this offense go and go really fast when he's clicking.
A phenom? Can we at least wait until practice before saying dumb stuff? If he was that good, he wouldn't have been at Appy State and UCLA. I think he can have a better season than Nico did last year, but that's not really saying that much. We're solid. Aguilar is going to be a phenom. Hendon Hooker, part 2.
