I just wanted to say thanks for hosting me here this week, VolNation. I wish I could have posted more! I'm glad you guys are so confident, I wouldn't have been nearly as fun this week if you weren't. Regardless of the hospitality, I hope you have a horrible time this Saturday. I won't be back because... medical school. Anyway, I'm pretty sure this is one of you VolNation poster.... call me if you're not engaged to your sister yet ;) Boomer!

He doesn't know VN well enough to know by now that "we get it"?!
It's a huge game, it's a coming out party for our DL, and we are going to smash Oklahoma and Bob Stoops in the mouth!
We get how big of a game this is.

Yep time to stop saying we are a work in progress and not there yet. Every team is a work in progress and growing. With the talent, improvement, hype, etc it's time to start showing it on a big stage. We do have a long road to go, but got to stop thinking we aren't there yet. It's the mindset. Have confidence like Dobbs said yesterday. We can't control the game, the players can. They believe in themselves, so do I.

I've been a fan for awhile, but became a huge follower a few years back. I haven't got to experience the big games played where we are expected to win yet. I know this isn't one of them, but I'm tired of looking back and thinking if only they would have.... It's before the game now, hopefully they come in with the right game plan and the balls to do some big plays. Never let up off the gas even if there's a big lead. Big successful teams don't relax. THIS moment in time is their chance to keep the momentum leading forward. Keep working hard boys!

I agree with the above..year 3 at home against a Power 5 foe. Huge for MO and setting the tone for the rest of the season. Huge recruiting w/e as well with the studs coming to this game!!

I've noticed some posters on here saying this a big game but not an "important game". IMO, despite Florida, Georgia, Arkansas, this is one of the most important games on our schedule. Not for the fans but the team as a whole as well. This our chance to prove to the world that we belong in the top 25 by defeating an top notch program like Oklahoma as well. It will show that we've improved on every aspect of the game cause believe it or not, we was one of the most hyped up teams coming into preason. If we lose this game, it won't make or break our season but I believe this game is just as important on our schedule. This is Butch's chance to make a statement in the SEC.

Who said it wasn't an important game?

This is the most important out of conference game sense the NC game against Florida State in 98, no it wont be the end of the season if we lose a close game but it will show that we cant beat a good team at home, and if you are saying we are coming to the top then you got to win this one, the Florida game is a must or the season will go go down hill in a hurry this the same old thing wait till next year, next year is Saturday September 12, 2015, this is a very big game for all of VOL NATION, why dont we just go out there Saturday and beat the fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff out of Oklahoma and show ourself we are coming ffffffffffffffffffffffffffff what the rest of the country thinks, we win we will shut up quite a few, everybody is picking against us, so we got them at home, no more excuses just go out there and put the hammer down :bash::bash:eek:n:bash::bash::bash::bash::bash: them.:bash:

Why the Hell are you stuttering.

OU can win this game 50-7 and will still only be 19th in the polls....again. Only SEC teams move up in the polls. So we will take the win for a win and blow some gas up your asses and call it a good day.

We can still achieve our goals without this game....but it gets much more difficult without it. The mental aspect if what this win would mean cannot be overstated. It will show the team, the fans, and our opponents that we again belong here. The confidence it would instill in this young team would be huge going into the Swamp. There is nobody left we cannot defeat if we win this game...and the team will know it

Dead on. This young team needs a win like this. Once they get it, the dam could burst. The first big one is always the hardest to get.

Might as well as get it Sooner rather than later.

Biggest game for the program in 15 years.

Nope. Won't even be the biggest game the Vols play this year or to be honest, not even the biggest game the Vols will play this month.

Calm down. It's an early season non conference game between the 19th and 23rd ranked teams in the country.

What is it with people from Oklahoma and their fixation on people's asses and gas?

Thats because Oklahoma is the king of "fracking" and gas is the by product. Its was Meth until we got passed by North Carolina, Kentucky, Missouri and Tennessee

Lol. I'm still thinking about the stoops call last year at the end of the ok state game. Then he fires half the staff like it was their fault he made the worst call in the history of time. Win or lose...at least we don't have the biggest dbag in the world for a coach. And I truly believe we win anyway

UF is the biggest game of CBJs career. He will be under tons of pressure from everyone to win. It'll be even more so if he can't win tomorrow. We can not be 2-2 going into the hardest part of our schedule.

After a 8-5 season people have to be held accountable and its the coaches' job to do that. If he cant identify the problem and fix it by replacing the weak links then its his head on the chopping block. By the way have you seen how the chopped heads have done this year.:thud: And I agree you dont have the biggest Dbag coach in the world. But to imply that Stoops is a Dbag is unsubstantiated and merely an opinion on a uneducated opponent fan. Just like the "Oklahoma Home" stickers that were made fun of in another thread. A tribute and reminder of the children we lost in the Moore tornado. Stoops is heavily invested in Oklahoma. He's more than just a Football Coach to us. He's a good man. Certainly not a dirtbag.
