But its everywhere what Texas A&M athletic director said. Why would he go public if wasn't pleading his case. Or he would have said the rumors are false. That absolutely means that smoke is bringing fire.

You don't want WVU in the SEC....Their grade averages are terrible...You have to know how to spell your name to get in the SEC.

SEC has been pretty strongly opposed to adding schools with academics ranked below current members (i.e., WVU)

You know who hired the last AD is no longer apart of your said "admin" right? do your research first. We are actually on the same page from the president down to the AD for the first time in a very long time.

Texas will go east and Oklahoma will go west. Everything else stays the same. That's my prediction. I'd like to play Texas every year, call it the Real UT bowl or what ever and have an split T of both shades of orange on it and start putting the years of each time the team wins in their colored orange. Be a great addition imo.

Small schools have been at risk for a long time. Breakup of NCAA almost dooms them. I don't how much revenue the NCAA can funnel their way but losing NCAA and going to a conference control situation, there is nothing that says the SEC has to share anything with smaller division schools or any other conference.

That's how I'm seeing things going as well. Looks like a deal where the top % of athletes make out great, but thousands of kids no longer get a chance to get an education and a possible way out of their situation.

Texas asking to join the SEC is like a having a girl known to have severe flatulence and a raging case of herp asking you for a date.

Texas will never be a good fit. They will try to dominate everything and when they don't get their way, they will leave the conference as quickly as they came.

While I don't want them in, I don't think that would be the case.

They've never been in a league where the league was bigger than them. That would be the case in the SEC and so would the money.

They might have their nose in the air a little and attempt to put the conference title games/tournaments in the state of Texas from time to time, but I think they'd actually behave.

Nope. The governor has already proposed legislation to require the state house to approve any move by Texas to another conference. Their sense of self importance knows no bounds.

I did. Pruitt was extended by the current administration in late September 2020 and Fulmer received his in November 2020. Yes I did my research. Undeserved pay raises and premature extensions to coaches that don’t deserve them needs to stop. The current people in charge created this mess.

The Big 10 considered them during the last realignment along w Missouri. I think they may regret not adding Missouri and could drive them to add Kansas. While their football program stinks, they have the largest fan base in the state which includes part of a pretty big tv market in Kansas City. Their athletic department brings in relatively strong revenue and operates in the black. They actually seem like an attractive candidate at this point to a conference.

I was referring to the posts on here of division realignment, what I have read from sportswriters who also don’t know anything is four 4 team pods with rotating schedules.

The population of Austin is half the population of the entire state of WV. Adding WVU doesn’t bring revenue to the table considering their tv market. WVU would be a good cultural fit in my personal opinion, having graduated from both UTK and WVU and having worked for both Universities. Beyond freshman, I think most people would be shocked that WVU students aren’t as dumb as rumored. WV has a small population and no money/industry, so their acceptance rate is high because there’s not a ton of in state kids going to college. So all the kids from NJ, NY, MD, and northern Virginia go to WVU as their safety school to party then fail out after a year. The school still makes ~$25K per dropout if they attend for 2 semesters. The remaining students after freshman year are really no different than any other place.

Still makes no sense. Aside from money, the casual fan would much rather watch a big SEC team play Texas than WVU.
