Alright, I pull for seniors and I thought Worley did pretty damn good.

But the Dobb Goblin is like Bray with a dash of Vince Young and Albert Einstein.

I believe the stories that Butch promised Dobbs a redshirt.

However, I also believe in playing the best player no matter what. Did Butch make the right call?

Go!

(I love how Worley played but Dobbs is just the Dobb Goblin on the loose!)

If they were close or Worley was a little better go with Worley. Make a bowl and have Dobbs for 3 more years would have been the ideal scenario he thought, imo.

Too much sense...but those hindsight head coaches tho?

Wtf is your problem?

There are lots of angles here.

Maybe Dobbs gets hurt if he does the Worley gauntlet.

Maybe the whole coaching staff wasn't sure Dobbs progressed.

Maybe there was no redshirt promise and the whole coaching staff f'ed up.

Maybe the Dobb Goblin just gets loose on Saturdays when the lights are on.

What does VN think? Oh, btw, winning like a boss ROCKS!

None of us will know until after either the Heisman ceremony or Super Bowl post game victory interview.

Hard to argue with this.

If there was a pronmise to redshirt and we make bowl with Worley, no brainer. Good examples all around.

But we may be a 9 win team with Dobbs with a Florida win.

It is a damn tough call.

Dobbs should be thanking Worley for taking those beatings at OU, at UGA, at Ole Miss for him so he could study instead of spending hours in the coldtub. I think Dobbs is doing great but this topic is stale. Coaches did what they thought was best.

Butchna I agree, too many hindsight head coaches in this fan base. I am one of them admittedly. But, for this offense, Worley can't lace up Dobbs sneakers! It's so obvious who the better QB is. Man...what might have been. 2014, the year of "what might have been" if the coaches would have put the best player in at the most important position.

That is a good point. He got to sit a little longer and not take a beating versus some good teams. Hopefully that will keep him fresh so we can get these last three wins. I think we can go 8-5 with a bowl win.

Maybe Worley took some of those beatings because he can't "feel" pressure like Dobbs obviously can. Maybe Worley took some of those beatings because the defense can play more man zone because Worley was no threat to escape the pocket? Maybe Dobbs isn't taking those beatings because he gets more single coverage because the defense has to spy the QB and lose an extra defender who could help out in coverage?

Just saying it's easy for us to say something WOULD HAVE HAPPENED...you could just as easily argued that Dobbs gets destroyed and doesn't develop if we start him against Oklahoma...facts are not in evidence. Fact...we HAVE a QB....NOW!! And he shows that our decried offense under Butch and Coach Jake can be high powered. Where are the cries for the I formation tonight?

I would have been okay if Dobbs had redshirted this year. CBJ has redshirts on several players this year that we could have used and getting a lot of experience for the rest. Wouldn't you like to have 3 years of Dobbs instead of 2 with development and incoming talent?

I want to win now also but we are building for long term. Tennessee could have used him with three years as the starter.

This is a dead horse so I am gonna walk away. The amount of back and forth on this topic clearly shows the fan base is divided on who should have been the QB from day 1. I just wanted us to win and compete for the east this year, specially the Florida game, and its left a bad taste in my mouth.
