Your post is not true. Tenn played hard with what players they have. There is no mighty Tenn. The team has to be rebuilt. If people cannot wait they are other teams to root for.
After this past Saturday, I believe we can compete with anyone in the nation for a half, or possibly 3 quarters. After that, well, we saw what happened and what will inevidably happen again with top tier teams.
To answer the question, no, unless, they look horrbile late in the game giving our backups the chance to compete and the Vols get a huge lead early.
First off Florida is not going to run the hurry up for 60 min. I am not sure there is a defense in the country that can play that pace for a whole game. Second Florida has had some troubles on offense, this will lead to a lot of short drives, which will help keep our defense fresh. Yes Florida's D is a lot better than Oregons, but I think we can score on them and keep the game close. I love Tennessee, and although I am not saying we will win, but I think we match up better against them than Oregon. So on that note lets go whip some gator tail.

The timing of this game for UT reminds me of UF's situation back in 2002.
Miami pounded us at home 41-16 the week before, the fan base was lukewarm at best to the leadership of the football program and no on expected much to go right against our division rival. Of my 8 trips to Neyland, 2002 was the year I was sure UT would beat the crap out of us.
Then the rain came, Casey couldn't handle the center snap (sound familiar) and the rest is history.
