Your post is not true. Tenn played hard with what players they have. There is no mighty Tenn. The team has to be rebuilt. If people cannot wait they are other teams to root for.

I never said anything about not waiting. I have been waiting for quite a while. But, Dooley happens to agree as well, he felt the team basically quit. But what about my post isn't true? Every single thing I mentioned, happened.

I'm a UF fan and I say yes. Honestly if you guys play like you did in the first half of the Oregon game for the whole game next week it wouldn't surprise me.

I think Dooley is doing a great job.

You and every other fan of the teams we play.

After this past Saturday, I believe we can compete with anyone in the nation for a half, or possibly 3 quarters. After that, well, we saw what happened and what will inevidably happen again with top tier teams.
To answer the question, no, unless, they look horrbile late in the game giving our backups the chance to compete and the Vols get a huge lead early.

Florida's defense will be much better than Os. Florida's offense should be more manageable without the threat of a running QB.

I say we can beat the gators. They have shown weaknesses against two weaker opponents. I fully expect the Vols to make it a game.

FL hasn't looked good at all.

We have to be ready to jump on them.
we must score touchdowns instead of field goals

UF hasn't been great or looked cohesive on either side of the ball. They've looked like a bunch of individuals that just happen to be on the field at the same time.

They have more talent but IMO Oregon is playing much better in all phases of the game.

So, if we can compete for just 2-3 quarters, why not turn it around? Let's start slow, keep it close until the half time, then come out hard and fast for the 2nd half. Seems like that is what Oregon did to us. . .

First off Florida is not going to run the hurry up for 60 min. I am not sure there is a defense in the country that can play that pace for a whole game. Second Florida has had some troubles on offense, this will lead to a lot of short drives, which will help keep our defense fresh. Yes Florida's D is a lot better than Oregons, but I think we can score on them and keep the game close. I love Tennessee, and although I am not saying we will win, but I think we match up better against them than Oregon. So on that note lets go whip some gator tail.

UT is a SEC team so, of course, you can beat my Gators. But I don't think it is likely this year. The problem with defining an opponent as a "sorry team" is that one humilates oneself if one then loses badly. How do you explain the loss to such a bad team? UT has been good and will be good again. If you win this week everyone will know that Dooley has you back WAY ahead of schedule.

The timing of this game for UT reminds me of UF's situation back in 2002.

Miami pounded us at home 41-16 the week before, the fan base was lukewarm at best to the leadership of the football program and no on expected much to go right against our division rival. Of my 8 trips to Neyland, 2002 was the year I was sure UT would beat the crap out of us.

Then the rain came, Casey couldn't handle the center snap (sound familiar) and the rest is history.

You should be ashamed of yourself. :shakehead:

Regardless of what we think, the players better believe they can win or they should just stay in the locker room!

...I'll have what he's smoking....:)

He's a UF fan and he isn't kidding. Have you watched them play? They play like 22 individuals and didn't play well in their first two games. USF is a decent team but UF stunk it up against a very bad Miami OH team.

They may put it together this week but looked vulnerable in the first two weeks.
