I get that some of you are engaging in over the top humor as a device. I just don't think a former member of Congress should make such an incendiary and inappropriate comment. Ergo the thread.
As volinbham already pointed out... where was your post when Reid lied about Romney? Or, does your disdain only apply to "former" members of Congress?
4 Pinocchios for Harry Reid's claim about Mitt Romney's taxes - The Washington Post
If I recall correctly I did not defend that. In fairness, I was fixated on the absurdity of a tax system that allowed him to pay an effective rate of 14 % when he had clerical type employees paying a higher rate on 1/1000th of his income.

Romney is the one running for president. The burden is on him to prove he is fit for that office.
I'm not a Reid fan. Assuming he is the anti-Christ and you want him out because of it, fine by me.
Doesn't make it right for Romney to hide the truth from the American people.
Maybe this will refresh your memory... and that's just from the first page.
Is it normal for someone who makes a living by practicing law to assume someone is guilty until proven innocent? And ftr... I'm assuming you do in fact recall it was proven that Reid made the whole thing up.

You did defend it and joined in the chorus.
You stated you believed Reid and did not criticize him making the claim. You agreed with him that it was Romney's responsibility to prove him wrong.
You continued to use it as an issue until we pointed out that he had turned over all his returns to an accounting firm that verified he paid taxes every year and the minimum amount he paid was in the mid teens.
Go look it up in whatever thread it was.
Also, the point about Reid is that he is not acknowledging it was wrong to lie and used an "ends justify the means" argument.

My complaint was about his not disclosing his returns because he a) didn't want people to understand just how entrenched he was in the 1 percent, and b) didn't want us to know how low a rate he managed to get away with.
You are quoting me way out of context. I suggest you submit a resume to the Fox News Channel.
Harry, is that you?
