Watching Vandy dominate us in the 2nd half last night felt like Rock bottom. However, watching this administration botch this coaching search is icing on a sh**cake!

Florida and A&M are out pitching and closing deals with SEC caliber coaches. Meanwhile our fanbase is doing all they can to keep our AD from completely burying this program.

It has been 1 hell of a weekend!

When you think it can't get any worse, it does. Currie promised explosive. Surely there are coaches out there willing to coach at Tennessee that don't have such repulsive baggage and are not hated by recruits and players.

I live abroad and have to follow via the internet. The crux of what I have found is that there was ONE reporter who stated that the University is finalizing a deal with Schiano. The press from that point went as nuts as the UT faithful.

The bottom line: The press got the election wrong, has wrongfully reported we were or were not hiring XYZ coach for the last month, etc. There has been no confirmation at all from the UTAD regarding who is in the mix or out of the mix. (Sometimes silence is golden, sometimes keeping people in the dark allows the mold to grow.)

One thing is for sure: This is a PR nightmare and no matter what, the University is damaged by the report, true or not.
