I can only imagine the horror of being in a plane that is going down...my greatest fear.

I pray for the victims of the crash and their families.

Realistically, you're less likely for something bad to happen to you when flying than other forms of travel


It's just, more than anything else, that when a plane crashes, EVERYONE hears about it.

--and it was a single-engine plane, piloted by a retired state legislator, IIRC.

Private aviation can be very safe, but it's still very different from commercial aviation.

The pilot was apparently 82 years old. No freaking way I'd get on a single-engine plane being flown by an 82 year old man.

Awful, awful story.
