OK, seriously... who's going to Cal?

If you are, better take some job applications and soap to get them away from you.

Too politically incorrect?

That's not true, you'd be surprised at the work they can do when they apply themselves. Just ask Cal fans.. They'll do anything if their beloved trees fall in harm's way.

I'll be there along with my gf, and 2 buddies. Labor Day weekend can't get here fast enough.

Unlikely you will run into many hippies on gameday. Actually cal fans have a bit of a rep of not being particularly nice to visiting fans (mostly because many newbies accidentally walk through frat row on the way to the stadium). Hopefully you guys will find that nondrunken cal fans are pretty decent people (as I found the same in Knoxville).

Volinarizona: check out Jay Heater’s blog ContraCostaTimes BearTalk Weblog: Cal Sports Jay’s a local reporter for the contracosta times and is THE expert on Cal football. He is currently breaking down every position going into spring practice. I figure you might find this interesting; the rest of the board probably couldn’t care less. He seems to think corner is the real question mark on the defense rather than dline. Be warned though, he is one ugly guy and has a huge picture of himself on his blog. His q&a is pretty good too: Forum

Thanks for the link, man. I'm sure I'll spend countless hours that I could have spent working reading this ... but college football is YEAR ROUND!

No really though, thanks. :)

I am heading out to San Francisco for the Labor Day weekend show. Staying at the Sir Francis Drake. I encourage all Vol fans to make the trip. The Bay Area is one of America's true treasures.

I suppose one man's filth is another man's treasure.

I've never been, so I can't comment either way.

SF is a great area, and I'm looking forward to getting out there. I've already committed to a trip out to California this summer to climb Mt. Whitney, the highest point in the lower 48 states. If I can get those permits either the week before or after the game, then I'll certainly be at the game too.

There will not be a lack of good beer in the area, that's for sure.

S.F. (like anywhere) is what you make of it. You'll find some great eats and some pee-in-your-pants cab rides!

Don't kiss any chicks without first administering the Crocodile Dundee check.
