Just correcting the record. You're being very disingenuous suggesting you provided any kind of evidence for your claim. I'm glad you're done.

We’re on a message board. The things that I heard (whether you did or not) are evidence of my understanding of things at the time. If you think someone owes you the effort of going back, re-listening, finding podcast episodes and providing a works cited, then you need to get over yourself. Especially when the things you’re asking for are tangential to the actual issue. There is no “record” to correct.

This entire branch of conversation is really bizarre. And tedious. And irrelevant. But mostly, just obnoxious.

Not sure about this.

Even though he’s the defacto “3rd” back, he got better in the UAB game.

He’s not been bad. The way he ran over the Syracuse LB for the seasons first TD is a long time ago, but he’s been moving the chains.

Thomas and Bishop both see the field much better but as I told people there would be an adjustment for Lewis because of the offense he played in HS. He’s getting better though.

People make way too much about recruiting rankings. Bishop and Star will either be on an NFL team or deep into training camp. Honestly Lewis is developing just fine imo.

He was always going to get more carries against UAB to try to get him going.

I’d be surprised if he averages more than 5 carries per game in SEC games going forward.

We’re on the same page with recruiting rankings. My point was, when a kid is highly rated, a) he has options and b) it can inflate his view of himself (“can” though not necessarily).

We’re deep at RB assuming Bishop, Lewis, and Morris return. Hadn’t heard much from Baker yet but he seemed like a good prospect coming out of HS. Tough room to come into unless you’re elite.

Decent chance at least one of them portals. Especially since the consensus seems to be that we might be looking to the portal anyways this winter, regardless if anyone enters or not.

I'm of the opinion you need to recruit RB every year. But necessarily top ranked RBs every year, but at least someone you think fits a certain role.

We almost never lose anyone to the portal we wanted to keep. Throw in at the price they are asking and it's almost none. And we tend to clean up getting guys from the portal. So I won't worry about the portal mid-season. I'll just enjoy watching all 3 of our stud RBs play.

they have four running backs who have played at times that will be back next season. They arguably lead for maybe the best two backs in the country for 2027 as well as being in a good position with Asa Barnes. It wouldn't be the end of the world if they don't get a high school back this class.

The only one that I would add personally if any was getting a vet to replace Star Thomas, but that's if they don't trust Daune on third downs yet and Peyton Lewis has not taken the step needed to take over the room

Did you watch the Ga / Gumps game? GA’s backfield looked much improved from our game. JMO
I did. He and Nate Frazier are a nice tandem.

Still, I don’t think Tennessee will face a better tandem than what MSU threw at us- for the rest of this season. Imo they are Ronnie Brown , Cadillac Williams good.
