Again, this idea that rah, rah like trooper Taylor or some pregame speech is going to carry the day just isn't realistic. Anyone who has played will tell you those sorts of things are out the window the minute the game begins. They looked headed to the team picnic on the Vol Walk Saturday. Already had it in the bag before it started. I bet every player had a knife in their pocket, because they were headed to a gun fight.

Next Saturday, if I were Pruitt, I'd have them walk that Vol Walk with no headphones, no cellphones, no high fives, and strutting. Just a John Henderson pre-game look as they walk silently and staring straight ahead to the arena. That would be my theme all week,
