In 2006 they finish 7-5 and go to their 1st bowl since 1960 under Graham who got Conf. USA Coach of the Year
In 2007 he became the HC for Tulsa
In his first season they posted a 10-4 record, took the USA West Title, played the USA C-Championship game and made it to the GMAC Bowl. There they destroyed Bowling Green 63-7. Tulsa led the nation in total offense with 543.9 ypg.

Before taking the HC job at Rice he was the Asst HC and DC for three seasons at Tulsa. In each of the three seasons Tulsa ranked in the Top 25 in Pass Defense. In 2005 they ranked "3rd" in takeaways and interceptions. In 2003 the defense jumped "49 spots" in total defense from the previous year ranking at 16th in pass defense.
When he became the HC for Tulsa he brought along Herb Hand and Gus Malzahn to handle co-OC duties.
Herb Hand - 17 yrs in coaching. Spent 6yrs at West Virginia as the tight ends & OL coach
Gus Malzahn - Was the OC for Arkansas in 2006. Named OC of the Year by Rivals.
Just got to remember this, everyone thought some guy named Myer was a joke coming from some medium school like Utah and before that Bowling Green.
