If it's one of these guys then that's nothing but a big steamy pile of horse manure. Ridiculous. Venables then Sumlin. Les Miles as worst case. Good night. This is not rocket science. Lane Kiffin would be better than these jokers.

All three of these guys are defensive guys. Fulmer already had a great interview with Tee earlier today.

My opinion: Fulmer & Co. isn’t interviewing for a HC at this point. They’re interviewing for a DC. We already have our HC. And theres only one HC candidate that could attract those guys to TN in a lateral move.

If these are our google choices, bring back Butch, at least we know he can recruit. None of these fools will do any better than he did.

I mean I'm kidding, kind of, very disappointed with these choices.

If those are the 3 finalists -- and I believe that they are because John Brice is pretty reliable -- then Fulmer isn't doing his job. And he is only doing the job better than Currie in that he didn't try to go get Greg Schiano first. Post-Schiano Currie was better than Fulmer if Brice's story is true. Every guy we talked to after Schiano is far better than any of Pruitt, Tucker or Steele.

In addition, the fact of the matter is the 3 guys Brice mentioned in his article that are NOT considered candidates any longer (Morris, Venables, Miles) are all better candidates than the 3 supposed finalists.

So while it's far from an ideal pool of candidates remaining, the least Fulmer could do is get one of the better guys we CAN get. He appears to be doing the opposite, as Steele and his 9-36 record make him the WORST possible candidate, and yet he has the most traction right now. I am really not sure why Venables or Morris would be ruled out at this point. It doesn't make sense.

I am praying so hard for a surprise or twist of some kind tomorrow. Not counting on it, but one can hope.

I was supportive of Phil, but now it looks like my reservations about him are winning out.

Not only are none of these guys better than Leeah (or Brohm), they aren't better choices than Miles - who is still out there. Pruitt and Tucker are at least arguably up and comers. Steele isn't.

Whatever knock you can make on Miles, he won a lot of games as an HC. Steele lost a lot of games as a HC.

Yes, there are a lot of people that will 'jump ship' at the first sign of disappointment. Let's just actually wait until it's official before we all cancel our season tickets and light ourselves on fire.
