Ok guys....We have to settle this jort thing now!

If said shorts are jean material, rise more than 1" above the wearers knee while in the upright standing position, and/or said shorts are frayed to the point white strings number more than 2 per 1/2 inch area around the bottom, these shorts will be considered Jorts and you will be ridiculed as see fit by the observer.

Exception: Hot women and Halloween costumes, worn only on Halloween and until 1000 the following day to allow for the ride home and/or a waffle house stop.

I move to bring this rule into effect.

Shorts made of denim should NEVER be worn. Only exception is for satire purposes. Gym shorts should only be worn when going to the gym. /thread.

Those would be capris. In this case, manpris.

No exceptions, move to europe.

Capris cuff just below the knee, whereas these shorts...

...I don't think encompass the full relm of what we're talking about here.

Therefore, I would motion to say the following demographics are authorized to wear these specific type of jorts:

Attractive women (8in above the knee)
Black dudes (3in above the ankle)
100% of people on halloween (any length)

I can agree to this.

Did Checkerboard Charly's posts get deleted? In a silly thread about jorts, one can't post jorts?

they would probably be above the knee if the waist wasn't hanging down about mid thigh.

What about white jean shorts? They highlight my tanned legs, which the women like.

I would wear cutoff jeans all day before being seen in something so foolish. I would wear a damn loin cloth before wearing those silly looking things. When I see those type shorts, I think the same thing as seeing a sideways hat.....what a freakin' idiot.

Any kind of shorts, cut or not, that are made of denim are jorts.

The most god-awful invention in the history of men's fashion.

And I'm a prude.

During the summer I only wear khaki shorts, no cargo.

I would also like to add the casual bowtie to the most god-awful inventions. If there is no tux, there should never, ever, ever be a bowtie unless you are a select few.

Of course there are excpetions Orvell Redenbacher, Andre3000, etc can rock it with class, but I have never seen a white man rock jean shorts with class and style.
