The stuff on the shoulders are the same stuff that Nike puts on the Oregon unis...From reading Nike's site it is to make the shoulder part of the jerset more durable as they use way less material to make them weigh less...I know weird but that is what they are there for...To be honest I kind of like them especially the helmet.

First of all, having phrases for uniforms is pretty much as lame as it gets.

VT's doesn't look too bad, but TCU's looks awful.

I'm fine if the material is superior, but that doesn't mean you have to make the uniform look retarded. Nike doesn't seem to ever make that connection.
