We will have a football season no matter what. They need to pick up another body so we enter the season with 3 QB's in the room. This is the SEC, you could lose 2 QB's in 1 game. Past that I am tried of hearing about the amount of money we are giving to 18 year old kids. The championship is now won during the portal periods, who can buy the best team in the allotted amount of time. Maybe they could make a gameshow out of it?

Hell we already have that. Some are bitching about NC recruiting when JH just took 2 5 star guys outta there. I guess they expect Josh to steal Belichek’s baby girl too

3 and 4 did not put us in a bad light, most were on our side or agreed. Your way overstating the negative. Kiffin did us harm, but it put him in a much worse light than it ever made us. I will give you Pruitt, but again most every school in the sec has had something like that happen at some point in history. Tennessee has a great history and will continue to build on it. Heupel has made us competitive again and some still snivel and whine. GBO

Probably 100% correct because I think there is a rule that forbids Coaches and players from discussing NIL. Hence the need for agents, however Nico probably didn't even talk to his agent because of his dad. May not have been aware of the move for more money. IOWs, kept blind. Hard to believe but it is one scenario that could have been cleared up by NICO stating this was the case and that he would reevaluate at end of completed season.

There is another possibility, NICO was worried that Merk was going to win the job. Talent and skill set with experience is all good, but if you cannot read a defense and see the completion before it happens then talent and arm strength does you ZERO good. (PROCESSING SPEED, ANTCIPATION)

Nico has not progressed? or has he since his arrival.

Two QBs in the Pros one with Both with only 2 years in the system. Tells me all I need to know about it. It is more important drafted. You may not be a Top pick 1st Rd but getting there is more important than the system.

Nico is a college kid talking about an offensive system and what the NFL offense is about. If what he is saying is true then 95% of the colleges are running the wrong systems for NFL. What's more, is some are buying this crap.

Nico just needed to call the play, run the play vs standing back and holding on to the ball. Instead it was either the WR or OL, when Nico had 5-8 seconds to run the play he was great. When he had 4 or less he was terrible. difference in a 3 man rush vs blitz and sometimes a 4 man rush.
SEC play was different of course because they loaded the lines and made him guess and there was more talent on those lines. His best SEC game Vanderbilt used a 3 man rush and NICO crushed it.

His departure was our gain.

I hear ya......again, if you kept reading down the thread i agreed it wasn't all necessarily negative just that it seems like we've had more than our fair share of off-season drama.......can't seem to have a few years off of little to no news. (Summarized).

Under Heupel we have had no more news than anybody else has had. It’s just some only listen to the own teams news. Just my opinion. Kinda like social media this board stirs up it’s own drama half the time. GBO

Yeah, maybe not, but at the time, getting rejected by a TCU QB after offering $1 mil seemed to confirm our ineptitude. It was an embarrassing development, and I was picturing that happening over and over again. The press would have a field day, and recruits would see players rejecting UT. But the Aguilar trade is being mocked online. People saying we got UCLA's reject. I was hoping for a homerun transfer. I don't think that's what we got.
