Bama whipped our tails...WITH THE HELP OF THE FRIGGIN ZEBRAS! I thought a couple of times that the Bama lineman's hands were caught in Tenn jerseys. They held every other down and it wasn't called. Horrible officiating! BUT IT STILL WOULDN'T HAVE MATTERED...OUR OFFENSE AND KICKING GAME SUCKS!

This bama nonsense you speak of will have to be stopped in the area of recruiting, so unless Butch Davis or Mike Gundy can out recruit Saban in the state of Alabama, then they're gonna be good for a while.

Butch Davis can recruit everywhere. Think about what he would do with Fulmer's recruiting budget. Also Gundy recruits athletes that would give any team problems. Very impressed with the program he has built over there. He also knows how to develop talent.

Saw that too. They had their hands in our players' collars dragging them down.

Good teams overcome mistakes made by referees.

Why are you'll bailing the refs out? I'm all for we should've been coached better. But, when we make plays in our own stadium we shouldn't get them called back. We would've gotten our calls at home in the past. That officiating was as bad as I've seen in a few years.

Because if we had executed on offense the bad calls on us would've never mattered.

So in football, offensive lineman are not allowed to touch the opposing players jersey? Come on guys we are starting to sound like Ole Miss. If your gonna blame this game on the refs then you really should go back and watch the game (and yes I already have). We rushed for 36 or 37 total yards. You dont win football games in the SEC if you cant run the ball. This is because if you are not able to run the ball then that means your getting your tail kicked in the trenches.

The refs of the SEC have been horrible for years and its kind of sad that we pick and choose when to call them out.

The refs in the SEC are no different that other conferences and this game was won by better talent. The game exposes the players on the field and players win and lose games. My complaint this year is "where has all the talent gone?" Eric Berry played like a VOL and he was the only real stand out for UT. Where are the Haynesworths and the Hendersons and the Wittens and the All American linebackers. What I wouldn't give for one really good middle linebacker. I am confused about the talent level this year. Wha' happened?

Anyone happen to notice on the illegal formation penalty inside the 20 that there were only 10 guys on the field? Were my eyes playing tricks on me? If that was the case, it's just another example of horrible coaching.

Also you should take note on how many times our WR have run a route a yard short of the first down on big third down plays. I believe it was 2 or 3 times alone in the Alabama game. That my friends is unacceptable.

Winners get calls, losers whine about them.

How do you explain that BS td call that u of m got this weekend? You would have figured with all the time that passed reviewing it, someone could have looked at a rule book.

But, in the end, a good team like MSU overcame that bad call.

First off, this is not an excuse. We got beat fair and square and I won't argue that.

I want to know how you feel about officiating in the game and our season. Have you ever seen a team that gets as many bad calls against them consistently like UT? I'm not talking about the bonehead mistakes. I'm talking about the game momentum-changing questionable calls. There have been controversial calls in almost every game we have played in this year and some of them have considerably affected momentum. Some have been obviously the wrong call(the pass interference on Taylor Saturday night) and some have been not so obvious(the Alabama fumble that could have gone either way but was ruled down by the refs). But these calls almost always go against us. I'm not saying there is a ref conspiracy but UT must have some very bad luck with officiating.

Is it just me or does anybody else feel like our games have not been called completely fairly? I've seen the officials make a few bad calls that went in our favor this year but they were usually in situations where we gained very little from it. It just seems like the officials miss some of our opponents minor mistakes but never miss any of our mistakes. I guess the poor coaching in the last few years has caused them to look for those type of penalties out of us but I haven't felt the officiating was completely, evenly fair except for a couple of games this year. None of those games were against high profile schools.

The better teams always get the calls. We are a crappy team so we do not get the calls, plain and simple.

We have no discipline and shoot ourselves in the foot.
Having said that, the 2 BAD calls against bama were momentum killers and defintely affected the outcome of that game. Would we have won if they went our way? Probably not--our offense didn't show up...but it would have made it a much better game.

I wanted to post something like this earlier but feared of being blasted for it. I dont just think the calls are going against UT are just bad but for everyone. Even calls that seem on replay seem to be called wrong. I think there may be too many protective rules that has to do some with it too. But I just dont see as many poorly officiated games in be Big 10, Big 12, or PAC 10. It may be the SEC has the best teams but has the worst officals
