officiating crew

in FBS out-of-conference games, it is fairly routine for the visiting team to supply the officiating crew.

So, should be a Big 12 crew this game.

It should not matter and I would hope it does not.

Agree......hope it does not matter either. However, a close call here and there can change the outcome of a game.

Reference: The "Catch" made by Florida's Jabar Gaffney in 2000 and ruled a TD when clearly he did not have possession. The zebras gave it to him anyway and cost us the game.

I hope the OU game does not come down to a final possession....we need to blow them out EARLY and OFTEN.

Expect pass interference calls. That pass happy league doesn't like physical DBs.

We would rather have a crew from out of conference because the SEC officials are terrible. We had an SEC crew last year that obviously didn't know what holding was.

So, it was an SEC crew last year when we played OU that was blind to all the holding?

In cross-conference games, the refs seem to go just a smidgen harder on the team from their conference than on the other guys...kind of over-compensating to avoid the appearance of homer favoritism.

Or at least, that's how it has seemed to me over the years.

If that holds true this weekend in Neyland, maybe we'll see Oklahoma called more frequently for egregious holding in the trenches.

I don't think I'ver saw one player held as much in one game as Barnette was in that one.

so last year's game SEC refs were used?

I know they missed quite a few holding calls against, I really do not want a repeat of a bunch of "missed call" against us.
