The digital series X is 550. Same as PS4. If my series X broke that would be what I get most likely, although I would at least consider going PS. I don't think I've ever used my disc drive on my series X in 5 years. Stupid tariffs.

I haven’t used my Series X in over a year besides to watch some movies and play some DS3 with some friends. My computer is where I’m at now. Probably the last console I buy.

I say this as a Series X owner and (occasional) enjoyer: you’d have to be nuts to pay $650 plus tax for the Series X five years into its lifespan.

This has been the biggest bust of a console generation imaginable.
Yeah, I had almost decided to get one instead of a Switch 2, but these prices are insane. I get that a Switch 2 has its own issues, but I use my Switch a lot and the portability is huge with as much as I'm in and out of the US.

I have about decided I'll bust out my 360 and just buy used copies of whatever Halo games I don't have anyway, that's about all I wanted to use it for.

Switch 2 was 100% the right call. I don't necessarily love the "exclusive" library right now through what was shown at this month's Direct, possibly a me thing since Yoshi and the Pokémon Animal Crossing clone seem to be popular, but when combined with what's also coming on the older Switch it's definitely great and I appreciate that we're starting to see bona fide AAA non-Nintendo games from PS4 and beyond ported. Plus, it's really nice to have something you can take anywhere.

COVID ****ed up a lot of things, and I'll always believe this console generation was its greatest technological casualty. Xbox allowing their exclusives to start appearing on PlayStation just seems like the cherry on top; XSX owners are handcuffed to games simultaneously developed for XSS (thus lower quality) which kind of sucks when Sony has been tight-lipped on the inverse arrangement, and as much as I enjoy Game Pass it's just not as much of a draw as Nintendo in multiple ways. It's fun to play Halo Infinite but also my console feels like it's used for free games and nothing else.

If you haven't tried it yet, and you like poker, I would highly recommend looking into Balatro for Switch.
