We usually go 2 or 3 times a year. In October, noone has been there, the restaurants are empty, water has been perfect and warm, and usually not a cloud in the sky.
I know you live in Fla, so know it better, but its my favorite time to visit.

My brother can't go in the summer so I think we are going to try to transition to a spring and fall trip each year Instead of just the summer
