North Carolina as the Super Regional opponent

I just like the idea of playing North Carolina. The schools should play more often in all sports.

Plus, playing a non-SEC school seems more ideal. We’re going to get a top 5-6 seeded team in the Supers if we make it, so if it’s an SEC school, that means Texas, Arkansas, LSU, or Vanderbilt. Rather have UNC than any of them.

I didn’t think of that way but I would rather face a non-SEC team in supers as well.

Western Kentucky has two good starting RH pitchers ...

One has a Era around 2.75, the other just a little over 3.00 ..one of the guys is from Franklin, Tennessee. Drew Whalen..

I think of it as if they threw in the SEC what would their ERA be or if Doyle or Phillips threw against their schedule what would their ERA be. These non-SEC teams stats can be a little misleading and our stats can as well with the schedule we played.

I think if this team gets 60-80 quality pitches out of both Russell and Ardvison like they did in the tournament they are going to be a tough out no matter who we face.

The likelihood we face a non-SEC team is very low. 6 of the top 8 are going to be SEC squads so only 2 potential matchups for us to be paired with if we want to avoid them.
