Official UT vs USCe game thread

I am terribly disappointed in the lack of discipline that our football team has. There is no heart, no passion and no PRIDE!!!! Each player needs to learn how to play with heart, passion, discipline and pride in order to be better. The discipline, heart, pride and passion comes from the entire coaching staff. As you could tell from the looks on their faces, they had lost all hope. Having said that, the team as a whole could take a lesson from Eric Berry. He seems to be one who is constantly coming up with the big plays that should go in our favor. He comes up with a huge interception, and the offense can't even get it in the endzone or much less a field goal. Its time for a complete "cleaning of the house". I totally agree that Fulmer needs to be relieved of his coaching duties effective after the Kentucky game. They need to quit dwelling on the past. We need a coach who is passionate about coaching, one who teaches discipline, and one who will settle for nothing less that perfection. I mean, look at Saban at 'Bama, Richt at UGA and Meyer at Fla. You can tell by the way their players play every game that each one is playing with pride, discipline, passion and heart. Until we get a coach who instills that in the players, we will continue to be mediocre.

Go Vols and maybe next season will be our season!

once again, the punter gives the best performance on this team.

ok, Eric Berry is pretty damn special too.

Our team has no heart and the only player with a set of balls is Eric Berry. The attitude started at the top. This team is absolute worthless trash. It is once again time to expect a big loss to Vanderbilt. I will also expect UK to kill us with Cobb. Those are two bad teams, but the artists formerly known as the Vols are worse. Much worse.

More players did show up than eric berry. Not a lot, but some played well.

1. Robert Ayers has shown up consistently this year.

2. Yeah, the guy fumbles, but Foster showed heart tonight, and ran hard.

3. Dee Morley laid a vicious block on Berry's int return.

4. G. Jones was still out there, while hobbling like a gimp.

It's not a lot, but...

Foster looked the best he has this year. He looked angry when he ran, with some success (14 for 56 and a TD, 3 for 33 receiving.)

Bob already spinning it just reading the stat sheet. When he gave the Vols rushing yardage, he qualified it with "it's misleading because it includes all the sacks". Sheep.

I didn't hear the comment, but I think it is fair to point out that for every 2 yards we gained running forward (a putrid 68) we gave up one in sacks (32.)

As sad as I am to see the Vols sink to this level, I cannot wait to see how the Fulmerites respond.

Probably the same way they normally do...by going back to 1998, appearances in SEC CG's (pronounced "losses"), and Fulmer's overall winning percentage.

Living in the past. Forsaking the present, and future.

(go vols)

Fulmers winning percentage is so padded with cupcakes it's not even funny. His record against good opposition is woeful, as is his record in decent bowls and Championship games

Every coach with a good winning percentage has their share of Vandys and Kentuckys on the schedule. Knock against his 150-51 record isn't the level of competition; it has been better than most with comparable numbers. It is the percentage of those 51 that have occurred in the last 4 seasons.
