Official UT vs UK game thread

At the very least, he is not making a huge spectacle with his forced resignation the way his predecessor did. He hasn't said one thing about Hamilton, other than he didn't agree with the decision, and that's says a lot.

Especially if anyone remembers 1992.

Great way for fulmer to go out. Felt good.

Also, isnt it funny how when we have a bad season we still manage to beat the snot out of kentucky

A Kentucky team that played Alabama and Georgia to the wire. Great game. Kentucky still sucks, but they aren't as bad as they were in the good ole days of Mummeball.

ive been a vol fan since 1966 (1st grade) and never thought i would see my boys stand on the mountain top.when cpf took over i thought maybe just maybe it was possible.the manning years were the greatest-i thought for sure we would get that championship for sure :( 1998 out of no where comes t-martin and the perfect season 13 and friggin 0. team of destiny.

ill never forget it,lots of folks think theres alot of fulmorons or what ever you choose to call us (who cares) the big guy brought us our championship, just like he said he would!

and for that, from a tennessee born and breed boy---just dont get no better----EVER!

we can run off 3 in a row and it wont mean as much to me as 1998.

but it would be close :)

And far and away... the best performance by one of our quarterbacks this season. crompton played an effective and very efficient game.

I sure hope Lane Kiffin stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night b/c he's certainle never been a D-1 Head Coach.

Thanks Phil!!!

I have to say that I agree. He didn't light up the scoreboard but he didn't screw up as well. Way to go JC, you actually looked somewhat like a quaterback.:clapping:

I know its been posted here but I will take the liberty to reiterrate. Neither had Fulmer when he took over and that didn't turn out that bad. Sit back, relax, and see what happens. :good!:

Posivol:

People like you are the reason we were stuck in mediocrity for 10 years. Yes, Fulmer did take us to the next level like he promised in 1998. However, we went downhill from that point forward.

Fulmer became head coach by coming in the back door and stabbing another good ole boy. It became apparent Fulmer was never a good coach. Our O line hasn't been the same since the loss of Mike Berry. And, our offense was a lot less productive without Cutcliffe, non existent this year. For your head coach to be a former offensive lineman and offensive coordinator and those two areas being the weakest part of your team, speaks volumes!!!

UT stands for a lot more than one head coach from Winchester, TN who played and coached at his alma mater. If, we won back to back titles. It would mean more to most Vol fans than one title. It doesn't matter where the coach was born. If, we win 3 NCs in a row. Fans won't care where the man was born!!!
