Official UT vs UGA Game Thread

In hopes for better mojo in the second half, I've changed into my white UT shirt, which I suppose is appropriate since we're playing on the road...

we will win this game 28-27
georgia is gonna fold starting off with us recovering an onside kick.. :) GO VOLS!!!!

Man, I used to be on the Kiffin bandwagon. I just think that the NCAA would have been all over us at a ridiculous level with him here. Dooley has not overly impressed me, but Kiffin knew this year's team was gonna struggle.

Also, my main point: I would rather have Justin Hunter than Markieth Ambles.

If I had to choose between Kiffin/Ambles and Dooley/Hunter, I'm pretty sure I'd live without Hunter.

So you think if Dooley had Berry, Dan Williams, Rogan, Wes Brown, McCoy, and Walls on defense that we would be this bad?

What about Scott, McClendon, Richards, and Hardesty on O?

Face it, your boy Kiffy underachieved last year.

With those players against UGA last year, UGA didn't even cross the 35 yard line.

Well, I just busted out my lucky shirt from the 2002 6 OT Arkansas win. It has been in retirement since that win, but I feel like we need some magic here. Here is hoping for some Stocker/Simms magic just like Witten/Clausen.

There are many, many different Field Goal defense packages. It's the coaches job to make sure the correct personnel is on the field in the different packages. BTW, the 11th player who ran off the field, not a frosh.

So would you waste a timeout to get an 11th player on the field on a chip shot FG?

By the way...

SECTION 5. Fair Catch
Dead Where Caught
ARTICLE 1. a. When a Team B player makes a fair catch, the ball becomes dead
where caught and belongs to Team B at that spot.
b. When a valid fair catch signal is made, the unimpeded opportunity to catch
a free or scrimmage kick is extended to a player who muffs the kick and still
has an opportunity to complete the catch. This protection terminates when the
kick touches the ground. If the player subsequently catches the kick, the ball is
placed where it was first touched (A.R. 6-5-1-I-IV).
c. Rules pertaining to a fair catch apply only when a scrimmage kick crosses the
neutral zone or during free kicks.

Catch the damn ball. Period.

Agreed. We should have beat UCLA, slaughtered Ohio (as opposed to letting them hang around), beat Auburn, and compete with VT.

Hunter was coming to Tennessee anyway. Ambles, Hunter, Meline and Milton would have been at WR for Tennessee with Prater and Rogers being possibilities.

Shocking that the True Fan Police would show up as we're getting our clocks cleaned by a 1-4 team.

do you really think we're more talented and experienced than this Georgia team? If so, I really have to question your impartiality....

AJ Green is finally hitting his stride, we're outmanned, and we're young and playing that way.

Bullshiz. Hamilturd simply didn't make an effort to go after anyone worth a damn.

I bet you would have sealed the deal with a good one wouldn't you?

I am sure during the entire situation Hamilton was just sipping tea and hoping it just sorted itself out. lol I know he isn't a good AD, but the man has more responsibilities right now than you have ever had in your entire life. I am sure he frantically did whatever he could to get us the best coach he could get.. I am guessing he knew his job was on the line. Just guessing..

that ba#%$#% that took out montri with that chop block, i hope the d line gets pissed and nancy kerringans him. it looked to me like he did it on purpose.
