Official UT vs. Alabama Game Thread

I do see your point but, he isnt screwing anyone. He should run more but....... but... well i dont have anything else to addd
Poole has a chance to be the 1st back to break 100 on bama since 07 now i wouldn't run the ball just for that reason but if it's working better than the passing you don't get away from it.

I'm okay with not playing bray this game. but it's clear that he's the qb for the future. the near future. like next game.

or we'll give him some garbage time in the 4th when we're up 35-13. :)

13-10 against your rival when no one gave you a chance in hell to even be in the game. If these kids don't come out on fire I will be highly dissapointed

So if Simms wins the game you pull him?

We need to run the ball, its obvious, if Dooley doesnt see that, he's an idiot.

You cant win being one dimensional. If you run the ball every down, then the D will put 9 in the box and force you to throw. Thats simple football knowledge that even my son can understand.

You have to give the impression that you will throw the ball

We have got to run the ball to open up the pass and vice versa We are a balanced offense in which neither pass or run are exceptional. Poole is having a great day so feed him and then go over the top with Simms. I love Bray but Simms has the confidence and just put together a great drive. Lets go Vols!!!!!!!!

You and everyone else would be moaning if he threw a pick, take the 3 points and shut up.

It's not rocket science. You tell your quarterback to throw the damn ball out the back of the endzone if someone isn't wide open. Coaches at every level of football have done this for years. If you're too afraid to take a shot to win, then you are DOOMED TO LOSE, and that is obviously the case with our coaching staff. That was the decision of a loser.

One sure fire way to ensure that you lose is to be afraid to take a shot at winning.

Yes. When you're playing for 3-4 vs 2-5, you go for broke IMO. Play the younguns, be loose and get after it.

Give me JSmith, CMiller, DRogers, Hunter, Bray, all the linemen. No pressure on 'em. Let 'em learn in that environment. They're talented as hell

The key to the rest of this game is keeping the defense rested..keep them rested and we'll be in it at the end. If not, Bama will blow it open.

For all of you calling for bray pay attention. The only drives we've scored on are the ones simms is in the game.
