Our fans are gonna be ready for this game, are the players gonna be primed and ready? Huge game for two first year head coaches, what’s everybody thinking about the outcome?

We got them right where we want them. Tape from Saturday is going to deceive them from the air raid offence that is going to rain hot fury upon the scoreboard! GBO

We’ve got a good group of wide receivers, I like that JG has gotten deep play potential out of both Palmer and Calloway. We need guys who can stretch a defense. I’m just waiting on D. Woods-Anderson to get that go route called so we can see him streaking up the middle of the field for a deep ball!!

This is the 4th game in Mullen's system, and the 1st on the road so there will be plenty of mistakes.

I would rank our players understanding of the new system at about 25-30% at this point. This season for me, wins and losses don't matter - it's about recruiting and the team learning the system. Maybe by the end of the year that understanding percentage will be up to around 80-85%.

Mullen's attitude is the same. If we win, great but all the learning and problems that need to be fixed are still there win or lose.

Maybe it's because we already lost to Kentucky, or maybe I'm just being naive, but a loss to Tennessee this year just doesn't seem so bad. Florida will be better, but not this season so Tennessee has a very good chance to win.

I could see it go either way, not even picking a score for this game. You know that half of FL and half of VOLS fans will see this as the moment that everything clicked into place and their ascension to SEC-E dominance has begun.

Two bad teams in an ugly slobberknocker for whatever bragging rights are available. GBO!

If the Vols don't get up for the opening SEC game against Florida, then they don't have a heart beat, plain and simple.
I don't expect a win, but I do expect to see a team that came to play and exhibit some emotion, something that we haven't seen so far this year.
Go Vols defend Neyland Stadium!

This Vol squad needs a win in the worst way imaginable, a loss and this team may throw in the towel, unfortunately.
This is a very fragile team emotionally as well as physically.
Go Vols

I will be surprised if we don't come out with a level of intensity that we haven't seen yet. I'll also be surprised if that intensity doesn't cause some mental errors, especially late QB hits type stuff. I think CJP and Mullen will have their teams as ready as could be expected at this point for this type of game. And I think we win.

Unfortunately, CJP is having to deal with the emotional fragility as well as the physical, but at least he is aware. Thanks Butch.

Talk about a delicate situation for a football coach like Pruitt, thank goodness he's worked with young children, because it may very well come in handy this season.

I'm not sure the University of Tennessee has ever had a team like this one, we know they never had a team like the one last year.
Go Vols grow a pair, beat florida
