All you really need to know about meatchicken is this: Live by the three, die by the three.



When they are on, they are trouble. But if you can get them off their game, or catch them on a night when they are not hitting their shots, you can blow them out.


They did beat Michigan State twice this year. But this was not exactly a great year for MSU. The first matchup was immediately after MSU had dismissed their 2nd string PG from the team. The second matchup was at meatchicken, last game of the season. Good win for meatchicken.

Bang it down low. Keep it physical. Run the end of the bench out there occassionally to waste a few fouls. Beat them up and take the win easily.

And Duke gets their starting PG back this week. Look out for them.

Going to have to be radio for me. Or I could turn down the radio and just have a Fox Sports play by play update on the pc.

Unless the "Fab 5" makes a come back. We will own them. The Big10 (or is 12) has one team. OSU. They are bad like the SEC. Except their league is worse. Wisconsin is legit. but after that.... my lord do they fall off the mountain! See PSU win in the Big 10 Tourney 36-32...... are you frickin' kidding me! We score 60 and it is 110% over!

Oh and then we get erased hard by Duke.... super!

Defense hasn't been great on the perimeter and not going into the game playing well on offense. Kind of game to overlook and end up losing. Should own the boards.

Brian Williams should (and better) have a big day on the boards. I don't believe they have anyone who can match him

with Ed Martin dead, meatchicken cannot afford to bring the Fraud 5 back.

As for the rest of the Big Ten:
Purdue - pretty dangerous team. Can beat just about anybody on a given night

PSU - That game with Wiscy, PSU wanted to slow the game down as much as possible. They were intending to keep the score as low as possible because they knew it was the only chance to win. They came back the next night and beat a Mich State team that rolled 9th ranked Purdue by 20 the night before

MSU - Kind of a head case this year. Dismissed 2 of the top 3 guards from the team. When the bigs come to play, they are a serious threat to anyone. . . except Duke. MSU will beat Ucla and UF, but aside from that, it is a toss up.

meatchicken - screw meatchicken.

Wisconsin - flopflopflop hit a 3, flopflopflop hit a couple free throws. screw the vadgers, HOWEVER, they can pull one out when they need to.


As far as the Big Ten being worse then the SEC. . . this is basketball, not football.

Dickie V is such a Duke homer I can hardly stand him. IMHO he's just building us up on air so that he can talk up Duke if they win the game.

I also think we can beat them. However, we haven't played that type of game since December 11th. I hope that we haven't forgotten.

We'll find out Friday I guess.

I like Tennessee in this game because of our offensive rebounding. Teams that OR well against Michigan typically have good success. Also, I want Tennessee to be able and push the pace a little bit early on - without taking stupid shots. It will be a good game! But I think the Vols pull it out. I really want to talk about a matchup with Duke, but I will bite my tongue until we get through this one.

Josh Bone will be important in this game. I think what he can contribute from the bench will be huge for us.

We will be dominated by the 1-3-1 because we are one of the worst 3 point shooting teams in the country, we're terribly impatient, and we are a dumb basketball team. The 1-3-1 is one of the worst things that could happen to this team.

I will admit my error if we win.

The 1-3-1 has more holes and opportunities to penetrate than a 2-3 and UT's zone O isn't bad. We should be able to penetrate to the elbow and kick out for an open shot or hit some passes to baseline cutters. It's not a D played often for a reason.

I think if we can get in an up & down game with Michigan we have a good chance. They don't like games in a fast paced environment.

If it turns out to be a half court game then it may be an advantage to Michigan. Let's get the pace up guys and win one at least. :)

THursday afternoon at work...develop cough. Friday morning...complain that cough has turned into bronchitis...leave work promptly at noon and race to a sports bar. The weekend does wonders for bronchitis. I love this time of year.
