Official Tennessee vs. LSU Thread | 3:30 ET | CBS

Tried to start a new thread, but I guess the board rules won't allow it due to me being brand new. Just coming over here to the Vol Nation to say great job. You guys played your heart out. I look forward to Tennessee being "back" after a couple of down years. Once again, great job.

On our last drive to waste time, we snapped the ball with over ten seconds left every time. In that situation, an experienced coach and quarterback waits until the last seconds to snap the ball.

I don't agree with that. If you slow down a team that doesn't normally play that way then you take them out of rhythm. The colts don't slow down.

LSU is now officially on my list of most hated sports teams. I haven't decided exact position yet, but it will be high. And yes, I know everyone in the Bayou is really concerned with my opinion of them.

Do you think he is in Dooleys doghouse for poor production?

Highly possible seeing that CDD called him out 2 weeks ago and didn't really respond last week. From the display today, Eric Gordon is an upgrade in the return game.

This sums up UT fans during the final play(s) of the game:

Celebration to absolute failure.

I don't want post a new thread, so I'll just leave this here:

After looking at the highlights, we gave up a 90 yard TD to Jefferson, and massive chunks of yards in the running game due to missed tackles and missed assignments. I'm willing to bet you we didn't run a single counter or toss play either. Again.

We didn't deserve to win that game. I don't understand why our defense seems so content with getting it rammed up their butts. You'd think someone on that side would get sick of it and man the **** up. You'd think one of the coaches would take it upon themselves to get them to tackle with correct form. It's not hard. Missed tackle = stadium. Missed assignment = stadium. Give up a 3rd or 4th and long? 4 laps of mountain climbers around the practice field. Force them to play rugby. Do something. Do anything that resembles anything.

My post from another forum.

Blocked kicks happen every now and then. This crap doesn't happen to anyone...ever...or shouldn't.

No, it shouldn't. Never. I've watched a lot of football, I've enjoyed some thrilling wins and last-second heartbreaks, but I've never seen a loss like that. I'm still speechless and I still feel sick to my stomach.
