Official Tennessee vs. Florida Game Thread: 3:30 EDT - CBS

True but our chances went down significantly when Hunter went down just like Florida's would have had Rainey went down instead.

That's why you can't depend on just one phase of the game, because just as today, one part of the passing game got slammed and panic set in. Someone needs to step right in there and fill in without blinking. That comes with depth and experience, something we just don't have yet.
Go Vols!

How stupid do ya'll feel now? Everyone predicting a Tennessee route should feel insane. Everyone stating that UT fans predicting a loss were haters should re-evaluate, at a minimum. UT is, minimally, at least, one to two years away from being competitive.

The hatred against Gators just escalates every year now, still waiting on a day when we beat these turds. Good game overall, but we need to beat these jean-short wearers

The boys played hard throughout! Just a lot of "young" mistakes. If they learn from this game we still have a chance to win the east! Florida obviously has secondary issues and neither Georgia or SC has impressed. Should be an interesting year. Gotta fix the snap problems though, that messed up the timing all game! Congrats Florida fans, but the streak ends next year!!

To say that Georgia hasn't impressed is almost kind. I think it's more like Georgia hasn't impressed Vandy. With the players that we have, we should be competitive. You give Spurrier these players and he'd be at least 2-1.

We all are vol fans here, and we had every bit of chance and talent to win in in the swamp with the swagger we had accumulated in first two games. Unfortunately, the main piece of our offense had a twisted knee, but predictions are all legit when counting him in.

I didn't see many sane posters predicting a rout.

Well played Vols. Your team never gave up and it was in contention till the last interception. Your offense is fun to watch, and the rivalry is as fiery as ever, even with the 7-loss streak. Dooley seems like a class act and I can certainly root for you guys against non-sec opposition. Bray is impressive, give him a better O-line and things would be scary.

The loss of Hunter early on was devastating no doubt. It does take a team to win, though. We had a couple years where Percy Harvin went down every few games. The first SEC championship game against Alabama sticks out in particular, we were missing Percy and a few other receivers stepped up. Hopefully this can happen to you guys if he's out for a few games. Your TE, Rivera I think, was very good overall.

Today sucks, but just like many posted, with out Justin in the game our whole scheme changed, and sent the guys reeling. I think we did recover, and lost a game we could (probably would) have won with Hunter in the game. I think that we showed that we would play till the end no matter what. I also saw tempers flaring so I know that the team cared. I think playing with another year under our belt and in Knoxville will change the outcome next year. Oh and I am so glad Muschamp is not our coach.

Tackling, correct defensive reads, positioning, etc. Also why did we wait until 3min left in first half to seriously try the pass game? If we are going to lose, at least go down swinging, I hated Fulmer play -not-to-lose ball!

Thanks and as always good luck rest of the year... win big and make our loose look respectable... ans as usual "see you next year"

Hey Stickey! Every time I try to post I get closed out and have to reload.. Tennessee sucks. do people have such a hard time with that?.

If the Vols don't recruit some big-time D-lineman, we'll continue to be a mid-level SEC team. Same for O-line, although we have some good players (I think) they do not get any push up front. Are they weak, soft??? If Hunter is out for the year, we will be fortunate to go 6-6 .

Another loss to JortsU................at least they kept on fighting. We aren't where we want to be, but we are getting better. Hang in there fans, our day is coming....

Come on James, snap the ball above Tyler Bray'sl knee's. If he can't do it we need someone who can. Dang surely someone can play center better than that. Every time Tyler Bray had to reach down to his ankles to get the snap it sucked. We are Tennessee we deseserve better than that!!!!!!!! James Stone sucked tonight!!!!!!:lolabove:

Don't know if I can pull it off, but I really need to stay away from this place for the next few days. Will try. Goodnight Volnation.
