When is everyone going to wise up and understand that this is what happens when you play this out of control style offensive and defensive back yard b-ball. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. If you don't make around 50% of shots and don't make the free ones, then you are screwed. You would never see this kind of play at Duke under coach K because he would know that it is unreliable. There just seems to be no structure of play under C.P. It looks to me like a talented college pick-up game.

And please quit playing your son because he sucks.

Maymon looked real solid from what I saw at the game. It may be sad, but S. Pearl could have been our best player on D tonight. Hopson either needs to hit his shots he takes or take less shots, period. The refs definitely let the guys play tonight, from the 2nd row behind the basket I will tell you that. Tennessee go murdered underneath the basket with very little calls.

To top it all off, Goins was TACKLED for that loose ball. I have NO IDEA how that was not called a foul, absolutely ridiculous.

I'm sick of S Pearl getting so many minutes. He wouldn't get off the bench on any other team in the top 25. None! The only thing he's good at is fouling. He prob averages more fouls than points.

I am, by no means, a fan of Hopson. However, he single handedly kept us alive the last 3 min. Collectively, the Vols played and looked like chit. The calls were absolutely one-sided. The Vols were getting rocked all night and receiving no calls but if a Vol defender breathed on a Charlotte player it was whistled. All in all...pathetic

Need to coach em up....I thought that was Pearl's strong suit. I am not seeing it right now.

As disappointed as I was at the results of the game and the efforts of our players I still think we have overacheived this year so far.we need to recruit a shooter and an aggressive big man. Williams have come a long way but he is still soft. I have confidence that after CBP suspension is over we will put this thing back together. You could see the stress in all of the vols faces last night and it showed with our laxed play. We lost two in a row to inferior opponents. Must not happen again.

Didnt read through entire thread, but damn did you guys notice Charlotte's coach's hair? WTF was that? Was it spray on or taped? And his hair line was straight and started halfway back the top of his head.

I work right next door to the Charlotte (Time Warner) arena so I was able to check out the game last night with some coworkers that were pulling for Charlotte and man that was a disappointing loss. UT looked terrible and I just don't get it. To play so well against Pitt and Villanova and to lose to Oakland and Charlotte...wtf. :crazy:

Pitiful display to say the least.

Nice effort out of about 3 players only.Pearl better bring his coaching shoes on Tues as Oneill can coach.Same old story play zone make us shoot the three if we are on we are ok but if notanybody can beat us
