Possibly on the shoulder orange but it really doesn't matter. I like both of your uniforms "as is" with the exception of the helmet. The stripes are really retro and look better than checkerboards. Send them to Dooley and let's get them going. All orange with the striped sleeves might look slick as well. I think the black may only fly on Halloween games.

Could be better. Leave the Power T alone. How about solid color cleats (orange or black)? And lose the checkerboard sleeves and socks.

I really like our uniforms now that everything matches, more than likely adidas is going to come calling sooner or later with a throwback idea like they gave michigan and notre dame. So I think most of us are curious as to what they could look like.

i would like to see UT mix it up a bit. even if its just once in awhile. however, i understand tradition, its meaning, and its value so i can see why some may argue against it. things just aren't as they were in the past, traditions change and new ones are started. my avatar shows a nike pro combat look that i found on google earlier today. looks pretty sweet imo and isn't to flashy, but a nice change of pace. deff wouldnt mind seeing them as an alternative or something at the least.

Get over the checkerboard for gods sakes--we aint playing checkers! The checkerboard endzone is neat and a Vol tradition but we even stole that from Alabama. Thats right. Legion Field had it in red before the Vols took it!

why is it that schools like oklahoma, alabama, socal, michigan, penn state, auburn, lsu, ohio state don't do the emmit kelly routine with their uni's? its the boise's, the tcu's, and the oregon's who seem to need to validate their new found (and probably short lived) success by dressing up like rodeo drive cowboys. time was that the vols had what i thought was a remarkably beautiful uniform. i hope the next head coach gets back to it.

? Nearly all of those teams have had some form of special Uni designed for them.

Look for Tennessee to have different road jerseys when they head to Alabama in October. Last week's road jerseys were “temporary”. And they hadn't been on campus long. When the original jersey with the sewn on numbers arrived, the orange didn't match at all and Dooley said they were not going to wear them. So Adidas got more made, but they didn't have time to get them with sewn on numbers. They were screen printed old like in the mid-1990s.

Adidas is in the process of making new jerseys for the Alabama game. Speaking of uniforms, there's also some “chatter” that Adidas is going to do some special gloves for later this year. Gloves have been something that Nike has been marketing with their pro-combat uniform and apparently Adidas may be making some special UT gloves this season. We will see
