Another wide-open, uncontested thre point shot. Clearly we have decided that if KY can hit three pointers, we are content to lose to them that way.

Chalk up another wide-open three point shot. Our perimeter defense has kept us from getting back in this game, despite the obvious one-sided officiating.

68. KY takes 5 steps down lane - No call
69. KY pushes pearl down on a rebound opportunity - No call

16. Pearl gets raped on the rebound at the 4:59 mark. Doug "Go Big Blue" Sirmons watches and simply calls the ball out on KY.

As long as you lay-down against KY when the refs are screwing you, the SEC isn't going to do anything about it. You can't complain about 16 BS calls when you get your ass-kicked on the score-board, even if we'll never know how much putting Chism on the bench or all the non-calls helped KY.

17. Tatum gets COMPLETELY HACKED by Cousins. No call. Leads to another double tech, this is terrible.

17. BS flagrant call on Goins. Cousins flopped. Horrible. Sirmons is a POS.

If Pearl doesn't publicly comment on this s hit soon, it will continue year after year. Doug Sirmons should have been fired by the SEC ages ago. The guy is a bigger KY lover than Ashley Judd.

You don't call a flagrant foul and toss a guy for that. I agree that it should be a foul, but if you reviewed the entire video, you'd find 8-12 just like it.

I believe the ref said a flagrant, intentional foul calls for the player being tossed. Physical play and an intentional elbow to the stomach of a player are different things. It was well deserved, but the right call.

The conference is going to have a major black eye on its hands.

Just wait until a player with Cousins' temperment is playing against KY and gets fed up with constantly getting the screw job from these refs. You are going to have a major brawl that resembles the FSU/MIami football brawls.

I have to hand it to Chism -- this kid has gotten bent over by the refs his entire career (especially against KY) and has maintained his composure. The technical on him today was total horse s hit by Ky loving Doug Sirmons.

As long as coaches like Pearl, Stallings, Donovan, and Stansbury sit back and let the refs constantly escort KY to victories, it will never stop.

Those fans who will rant and rave about our team today and thought we had a chance today -- I laugh at you. I knew there was no way the refs were going to allow UT to be in this game and when Sirmons and Greene walked on the court in stripes, I knew it was going to be ugly.

Yes the Vols played some bad defense and they shot poorly, but when your best player gets put out of the game by the KY assistants, it effects the whole game. And when this game got to 15 and Sirmons took over to make sure the rally ended, our guys gave up. Don't criticize unless you could continue to maintain your composure in the face of getting screwed by the refs.

The only thing that really pisses me off is that the SEC may have just cost us a 4 seed with this fraud today.

I was going to comment, but after reading your senseless babble, I just laugh and now move on.

I generally hate "whine about the officiating" threads. I don't see "praise the officiating" threads when UT gets the good end of the stick, which does actually happen on occasion. However, I would like a clear, concise explanation from someone as to why Wayne got T'ed up with Orton. I've watched the replay several times and I see nothing. If anyone from our side was going to be T'd up there, it would have been J.P.

I think he got T'ed up because he got up in the face of the KY player. Should he have been hit with the T? No, I have seen far worse that didnt get the technical

It was crystal clear today that Mike Slive and the SeC wanted no part of 25K+ empty hotel rooms tonight. Bash me all you want and say I'm making excuses all you want. Someone said something similar after a Tim Donahee (sp) ref'ed game and probably got bashed too. Say what you'd like, follow the money.

the interesting part will come in the NCAA's.
UK won't have the refs in their back pocket for those games. The cats are talented, but wild in their play. Chances are they will not get away with their mugging play and they will get in foul trouble. Their "assistance" all year could hurt them big time and despite their talent and favorable seed, they could be gone before the sweet 16. could

How do they select officials for the NCAA tournament? Is it like the bowl season where there's an officiating crew from a different confrence?

First the SEC officials do this in football season (ex. Arkansas/Florida) and now in basketball. Something stinks in the South.

Vols got slapped today by a better team. Guess the refs made a 29 point difference. Never heard such whining. Vols have 3 convicts on the team and you call KY thugs ? Pearl teaches hack and flop and you whine about refs. Pitiful. Vols are overrated thugs, cheap shot artists, and classless. Big brother whipped their a## today. Guess the officiating in Knoxville was really good ? Pearl needs to get some better convicts next year to have a chance at competing. His son could not play for a mediocre high school team - simply a hired hacker throwing elbows consistently throughout. Maybe you should get off the blogs and attend a game in your own home state with the other 1500 fans that were there.

If I believed in conspiracies I would say that the ESPN deal changed everything--ie if the entire nation is going to watch, they're going to see the traditional powers succeed. At all costs. But we're a traditional power in FB so my theory is already debunked. Oh well go Vols.

Ya see, there's not a lot of difference in our complaining about today's officiating than the crying UK fans did after the loss to UT. Big difference is that today's is justified complaining and UK's was just....ya know, crying 'cause they got beat. UK was the better team today and didn't need the extra help.

While it is true that the UK kittens were a better team today and probably would have won, it would have been nice to see an evenly called game and see what would have happened. Cousins got treated like the king today, and that is so sad. After all that Cal has done at his other jobs and is doing in UK I don't think I would be calling anyone else thugs!!
