You have broken an unwritten rule.
When people are correct, you must read, "I've been saying for 3 years". When they are wrong, it's an automatic mulligan and we ignore the past as they say "I'm telling you right now". :)

Hmmm...this is the first time I've read a "game day" thread on VN. I'd already figured I probably wouldn't see much of these forums on game days, because I'm focused on the game and my family ... but this seals it, I think I'll make it a rule to steer clear of the forums until the following day when tempers have had a chance to cool a bit. :)



Maybe peek my head in after a good game, if it's not too late at night after it ends...the addiction of this site and the good folks on it is real. :good!:

Only redeeming quality of Game day forums are they show you who the emotional idiots are. With that as a reference it's easy to dismiss their comments.

JP, you need to make it a point to watch one of the game day threads. They are golden hilarity. I never laughed so hard in my life.

So are there a lot of people who literally start threads and respond in threads while the game is being played?

I don't think I could do that, my family already have 'squeezed-in' conversations between plays and during commercial breaks because we're all so riveted to the game when there's action. I think my head would explode if I tried to add another layer of interaction on top of those. :)

There are lots of new threads during the game from play calling to who's playing well and who isn't. There's also an official gameday thread for people to comment in as the game plays out.

Official GameDay thread is started by YankeeVol each gameday Saturday. They'll be close to 2000 post by games end.

Friday before each game, there is the Official Off Topic Thread.

The Sunday after each game is the Official Girls of the opposition thread for the following Saturday.

Good times.

Edit: I know you are thick skinned, just be prepared For the GameDay threads.

The GameDay thread starts out great. Yankee does an outstanding job with it.

It is the carnage during the game. The USCe game was the best.

So true...the USCe game went from "fahr erryone!" to building statues for the entire staff.

It's not the most emotionally stable place.
