Rap.died with Tupac and biggie smalls. Outkast..is the exception but they aren't really rap per se. I am old. Old.school.

Edit: these days rap is short for crap. Did flip thru the channels.and find myself bobbin my head to "the hills" recently tho.

I like biggie. Never cared for tupac. Outlast... Stopped making music way to soon imo.

Just don't drive drunk, dude. I drove drunk nearly every day for almost a decade and even though I never hurt anyone or got arrested, its one of the few things I regret about my wilder years

I don't. It was a nonjustifiable arrest. Didn't take much time or legal effort to get it dismissed.

Still cost me about 6 grand, and another 1500 to get my mugshot removed from Google.

You just have to dig deeper to find good stuff, as is the trend with most genres.

Most of the artists in the Rhymesayers label are pretty good. I've also been listening to a lot of Antwon lately. Reminds me of Biggie.

Many years ago I decided to browse through any and everything I could on the net and ended up absolutely floored after just reading through some of Tupac's lyrics. A lot of it was just self gratifying rambling about being a ladies' man, but here and there was some really horrifying scary ****. I think you might have to be psychologically ****ed to feel it, but there was definitely some brilliant insight into the human condition there

I think Eyedea was potentially the best out of all of them. Shame he's gone.

Llllllllet's make a deal...

I saw Aes with Kimya Dawson in Denver. Crazy duo on stage.

I like Young Jeezy. I'd love for rap to go back to that.

Absolutely. Ain't nothin' wrong with some classic Jeezy.

The good stuff these days is few and far between, generally you have to actively look for it or be part of the music scene to keep up. I haven't been able to keep up as much as I used to due to being way more busy which is a shame.

You are not missing anything. Rap is terrible. The whole of music isn't far behind.
