Going to be a tad optimistic here after last week.

This is an optimistic pick after last week, but if the App State game was not a wake up call for this TN team then nothing will put their motor in gear this season. They are dropping in the polls and people are already counting them among the most overrated teams. GA is a trendy SEC East pick now. This team SHOULD be hungry for redemption.

We have the same offense as last year except it's supposed to be more experienced. We have put up 40+ points, and even 50+ (Vandy) against better defenses then VT. If the Tennessee team I know exists decides to show up, this could be a bloodbath. BUT that is a hugely optimistic statement after last week. Still, I choose to go off what I know this team is capable of and not just one performance. If BaB rolls around and we struggle again to barely win or even lose, my outlook on what this team actually is will change.

Until then, fight on Vols.
