Sites only take your top 20 for ratings. Unless it effects your average star rating, but they don't use that to rank teams. Ranked by points.

How the hell does Missouri, coming off the incredible year they just had, end up ranked 35th??? That's terrible!

Coaching. mizzou's classes usually rank in the 30's-40's and they seem to be getting better on the field. IMO it comes down to taking kids and getting the most out of them. You don't have to have 5*s across the board to win, if you can coach.
