Big Orange all the way... Let's just say that at my age, I've learned to take the orange sunglasses off and see things as they are, not as I want it to be (as a diehard fan)...

No disrespect here, but I've learned that we can't dictate things outside our control, but there are things that we can control. Personal fouls, missed PAT's, coaching errors, fumbles and interceptions late in the game are things that are 'controllable'. Blaming refs, bad field conditions, plays by the other team are examples of things that are outside our control.

And tonight, we lost because of the things that we can control - plain and simple. NC won because that successfully controlled their own destiny.

Dooley missed the tackle on that long run in the first quarter. Then he let receiver get behind him on the TD just before the half. His most obvious blunder was the missed extra point. He is obviously a failure as a coach.

Did I agree with every call? No. Would I have taken a knee at the end of the half? Probably not, but an int. there would have been a killer.

Would I have thrown the ball trying to pick up a first down at the end of regulation? Probably. Again if Bray had thrown a pic, or an incomplete pass that allowed Carolina to save a time out, the fans would have been irate. In reality, the coach has to make the calls and live with the results.

We don't get first downs without passing the ball. Any coach in America plays that series the same way. Without a ridiculous series of terrible calls we win with that strategy.

By running we run the clock down to 31 seconds and place them at the 20... I have no problem with that strategy, giving up 40+ yards in 30 seconds was the inexcusable part.

YES, I agree with you, but ER, the people, the VOLNATION, must hold Dooley to his lack of...1st down...that was all we needed, I have it on tivo, and YES, they were in victory stance the first snap, then we started running the ball, UP THE MIDDLE, C'MON MAN...we all know that was wrong...and WE have to keep talkin about it, Dooley knows know his mistake or we hope he does...HEY...PAY ME that kinda money for that game...I would have went for the 1st down....

OK, you gurls don't get it...Let me put it to you in "BIG BIRD TERMS" 4TH QTR. Tenn has the ball with (about 1:34) or so on the clock... Tenn lines up in tight formation, runs the ball up the middle. (1st fail) then same thing (2nd fail) then lil wider stance from linemen but wait...(3rd fail) PUNT....HERE IS WHERE WE DERAIL... OK...STAY WITH ME...Dooley had the "opportunity" at (one minute and thirty or so) to run, pass, fight; I don't care what...do anything to get a 1st down... NOW...TN has been gettin 1st downs all nite, you tell the squad this is the LAST 1st down all year...GREAT...BUT ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN running the ball up the middle, and turning it over ...ESPECIALLY WHEN UNC HAS ALL THIER TIME OUTS... Simply put...a 1st down would have sealed it... NOW if you argue with that, you are either drunk, stupid, both or even better, all 3 a drunk stupid gurl...HA I aint wantin to fight but Damnit man...The game WAS OVER...and WE had it...

But you were completely wrong... so throwing the ball on 3rd and nine and risking having an incompletion and leaving them a minute and some change left was infinitely smarter? I would hope we can trust our defense to make a stop from the 20 with 30 seconds left and no timeouts.

This is big boy football not f"l"ag football. He did launch himself, but it was with the shoulder to impede forward progress and not helmet to helmet. Sorry its a violent game. A guy broke his leg on an earlier play with no penalty. Maybe soccer is more your speed.

UNlike most on here I jus want to talk, talk about the VOLS "BUT" people like you... always want to insult...finding what "YOU" think is wrong, which it does not take a "genious" to figure out that sux and most will not converse on here long and it will "sadly to say" be short lived for most. :peace2:

If I were paid two million bucks a year or half a million bucks a year to win football games, and my team led with a first down and a minute and a half left...I would at least tell the offense to hold the ball in the backfield and run out as much time as possible. The coach can't kick PATs, but he can tell players eat up the few seconds needed to win the game. I'd like to be supportive at a time like this, but I can't support inexcusably stupid.
