Official North Carolina vs. Tennessee - Music City Bowl thread

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a 5 second runoff after an offensive penalty at the end of the game?

It's simple. If a team substitutes (as NC did) the ref must stand over the ball until the defense has a chance to sub as well.

Screwed again.

The worst thing of all was Bray doing that ridiculous salute all night, then the gestures over to the UNC bench after the Tennessee TD in the first OT. Five minutes later, he's sobbing uncontrollably.

The young man is going to have to mature if he wants to be a successful quarterback and control his highs and lows.

why do u hate JJ so much? I see launches all game, the refs called one. If not for JJ, UNC would have scored a Td, and all of this other Crap would have ended in regulation

I don't hate JJ. C'mon, it was an obvious cheap shot that he could (and should) have been ejected for.

Yes
No
No

You're outnumbered 2 to 1.
Maybe so but.....
There was no desire by anyone on our side of the field even remotely interested in getting a first down. Thats a big mistake when you only have a 3 point lead and can't run the clock out. Bray could have took the snap and back peddled for 5 seconds a play and done better then we did. There no absolutely no effort to do anything. Just not smart with only a 3 point lead.

Ps - I'm not one to complain about ****ty officiating but that was absolutely the worst shaft job I have ever had the displeasure of seeing. Janzen led with his shoulder, hit him in the back and then the offense benefits from their ****ty penalty? Complete bs.

No he wasn't... Get over it... JJ totally screwed it up with a cheap shot. Lincoln screwed it up with a missed PAT.

How the hell is that a cheap shot? Trying to knock the ball out? Dude did you never play football? He led with his shoulder playing hard and that was clean.

Come on man

may get flamed for this, but i feel this is a blessing in disguise, bray needed that. im hoping this will motivate him, lead him to become a student of the game and lead us to ATL. erik ainge had simliar success and didnt put in work over the summer and we all know what happened his soph yr. hurts now, but the future definitely looks brriigght!!!

I'm sorry I have to step into the Bray fray; to many folks posting about him; We have never had a Freshmen QB better than him. Manning had less yards and less TDs as a Freshmen and played with Stewart from the UCLA game on. Manning had a complete roster with some studs. Bray is only in his 5th game and has more yards and TDs than Manning throughout the entire season. 16 Freshmen have played this year; Manning and Stewart may have been the only ones to play their Freshmen year( Correction I believe Fair was a Freshmen as well that year). Now we have to see if that translates into a career for Bray but for now he is the man. I can't wait for the next season to start with our new recruiting additions in house to help.

Yeah, Da'Rick getting slammed in the head while being held down by two guys is totally legit. Janzen hitting a guy in the back with his shoulder, though. Give me a break.

Keep wearing your orange glasses and denying seeing the obvious.

Wonder if Texas really wants Wilcox now?
Get the hell outta here with your trying to get a rise out of the fans after that shaft job. You're trolling, plain and simple.

Sober up... He purposely left his feet and drove his helmet into his upper back. Lucky the guy didn't receive a severe injury.
