I was checking out some UNC statistics earlier, because I haven't seen the Tarheels in action this season.
Their QB seems to be mediocre at best over the course of his career (he's a SR)... But this year's stats are very Crompton-like: 67% completion, 3100 yds, 18 TD, 8 Int.
His game-by-game stats are hit and miss. He's done well against LSU, FSU, and NCSU (1200+ yds, 8 TD, 0 Int combined), but he's been average against most of the rest of the ACC.
Apparently the've had issues with their running game like we have... They're averaging 3.6 ypc as a team. But their leading rusher has 720 yds, 7 TD, 5.5 ypc.

I think we'll be able do alright if we shut down the run game and force Yates into some stupid throws.
That is if we can start solid, running the ball (UNC's starting MLB is out), and get their safeties in the box.

Well, I'm 0-2 in my Vol bowl game history, last year's Chick-fil-A Bowl and the 2004 Peach Bowl against Clemson. Since I can't make it to Nashville this year, perhaps the Vols stand a better chance.

And they've lost that leading rusher to eligibility issues if I am not mistaken. They've fallen apart during the break so we will see how they respond.

Don't feel bad. I've been to four Tennessee home games. One of them being UNLV and of course we won that game. But the other three we lost. The teams being Oregon, Georgia, and LSU. So I've never seen Tennessee win a big game at home.

I'm getting up at 6 A.M. to head to Nashville. This will be my first bowl game I've attended in my 19 years of life. I don't know who usually starts these, but I felt the need to do one.

This will be my first bowl game in my 21 years of life. Looks like we're about on the same page.

GBO!
