It would be great if UT hired the next Sweeny but good hires like that are rare. And the fan base would go nuts if a person with his resume were the choice.

Miles will get you better game day coaching and better defense but his offenses suck just as bad.

Anyone else either has to big of a buyout or is another experiment which is the very last thing we need. If the coach hasn't proven that they can win big in college football against reputable teams personally I'm not interested.

Stop and smell reality. Gruden is NOT, NOT coming. I'm not convince he would be a good coach for TN. I believe Kelly, my first choice, Jimbo Fisher, or Frost would become a big splash for UT. MY concern is FL will beat us out again on Kelly or Frost. I guess if they beat us on the field they can beat us on the AD level too. Make no doubt about it, if Currier makes a wrong choice, it will bite him in the ass. BIG name, experience proven winners please. No excuses we have the money.

Why is jimbo fisher listed as a possible hire, yes he won a national championship but so did Gene chizik, did everyone forget he is 4-6 right now I understand he lost his qb but he has been there long enough to recruit depth. Am I missing something? I think he is an 8-10 win coach at best and is not a splash hire.

Go look at Chiziks record and compare it to Jimbo's. Then you will see your error. One season doesnt define a coaches ability.

I only post on this thread due to the usual "GTFO" responses. never believed the beaver BS. Especially when he makes it a point to let everyone know how smart he is/drinks expensive scotch/well connected/blah blah blah. He's probably just a spoiled brat. I called him out weeks ago and I stand by my stance that he's fos. Yet people keep throwing their panties at him. It's all about Gruden getting his ego stroked. Don't get me wrong, Would be all for a Gruden hire, but I've had enough of the beaver's BS.
