I'm loving the demo thus far. It feels much more like actual hockey. It is also (at least for me) much harder to score. In the det-pit games I've only scored a few goals total. The BAP mode seems almost identical to last year in the limited preview in the demo anyways. I started an offensive defenseman (hockey purists be damned!) and had 1G and 1A in the pre-draft game and wound up being drafted 9th overall. I love how they finally implemented working the cycle as part of the game and the new AI in the neutral zone. The demo gets an A+ from me.

I agree, it's much harder to score. All the old 09 tricks don't work anymore, thankfully. Best way to score that I've found is the just pound it from the points and let the wingers pick up the lose pucks in front of the net.

The new AI is awesome. NPC's cycle and try to get open, the defenses are tough as nails, and even computer danglers pull off one-on-one dekes to avoid your incoming checks.

dcgf, we've got a pretty big volnation hockey league team built up from last year's game. You should join us.

Just watch out for bearcat... he's a puck hog :)

It is much more realistic, I like it much more than the other mades. Hopefully they will have that in the EASHL

I have played every NHL game out that I know exists (Including random stuff like NHL rock the rink, and the newer 3 on 3 NHL Arcade on 360) And this is EASILY the greatest NHL Game (And most realistic) I have ever played

what exactly are you guys going by on the glitch shots not working? i never really got the open space to really try them out.

I loved the demo but didnt find scoring that hard without using glitches. I had 3 slappers from the point scored 7 times in 2 games.

The AI improvement is the best part, IMO. The computer players actually "play" hockey now; instead of skating around aimlessly.

Like Mason is saying, you can pop off shot after shot from the points and all the forwards will actually crash the net and look for rebounds.

I'm praying that there won't be any glitch shots in this game... :crossfingers:

I don't think it will matter what happens when the SNIPER AT THE POINT makes his appearance again in the new game.....Dirty Black always brings the pain....Sometimes to his own team but always brings it in NHL.

They toned down the GHEY tripping penalties too.... I'm gonna miss my box time :cray:

I'm down, gamertag is fordicus on XBL. I've only played a few games online so it might take a while to catch up to you guys in online play.

depends on who you're playing with. if i'm on the ice, you can probably outplay me, along with a few others that i won't name...........a slow fat one down the middle for ya bearcat..........

If you've played NCAA or Madden, EA is not willing to sell everything other than Grandma....

So for everyone who bought Dynasty Boosts in NCAA, or spent 800 MS Points to play in a Madden online franchise, you are only encouraging this ****.

That said, as great as patches and DLC have been, they finally did what they thought of all along and started pushing people towards buying this **** in order to remain competitive.
