Sorry about the misinformation, the demo will drop tomorrow the 20th for Gold members and the 27th for Silver.

J/K, Swill look in this forum for the RROD repair. It is pretty easy and should only take about an hour to do. Get with either me or Doc and we should be able to walk you through it.

I Downloaded it this morning before work and played a little, very very nice. I tried some of those glitch shots like the curve, dirty wrap, goaline, and none of them went it. Also the passing will take some getting used to, you will no longer be able to cross crease through traffic with tape to tape passing nearly as much. From what I played this morning, not a whole lot different, but I can tell they have made some nice changes with the gameplay and AI.

Well, I considered trying this, however, my homie(a PS3 fanboy) let me borrow his 360 for a month while I send mine back to Microsuck.

Great that you were able to get another one in the meantime. Also since you are still covered under the warranty that is the best route to send it in.

game looks pretty much the same, the passing is a bit different. you pretty much have to have an open pass to complete it but i did sneak a couple through traffic. the computer players seem to pin it up against the boards quite a bit, don't know how this will translate into online play though. seems like every time i tried to poke one out in that situation, it goes the opposite direction and you can't recover it anyway. the fighting isn't as cool as i thought it was going to be but it's a decent change. so far seems like the normal for EA, change a few minor details and recycle the previous years game, but i will still play it quite a bit i'm sure. i can't say much for the glitch shots since i never really did them but you are not going to get many cheap goals, until someone figures out what the glitches really are. solid re-hash of '09

Facewashing the other teams star player and getting him into a fight after the whistle has blown is a nice addition. There was a lot of concern over whether EA would get rid of all the hitting after the whistle but the way they have changed it to actually have a bearing on the game is great!

Much Much Much better, it can be used as an actual strategy now. Matter of fact, I was playing on hardcore settings and you pretty much have to dump and chase to get the puck into the offensive zone

cool!! I heard the days of going straight through the neutral zone uncontested are pretty much over in 2010.

My thoughts:

Way more realistic than 09. The players and the puck move more fluid and more organic-like; they feel like they actually have weight behind there movements now. Check has been toned down a great deal; monster collisions are rare now (as they should be). Boardplay is AWESOME. Best new feature by far. Passing is tricky but you have complete freedom to pass it anywhere now- not just on a "string" to one of your guys.

Probably has the best fighting since NHL 93. It actually feels like Fight Night somewhat!

I'm curious how the fighting views will work online. Will we get a 3rd person view if we're not in the fight?? Or will we see what our teammate sees?
